  1. I'm heeeeere all weeek folks.....
  2. Bad luck Lizzy. Least you won't miss the Forum drinks, that must be a great consolation.
  3. I'll start saving my pocket money PR.
  4. Absolutely and as I have read the notice I know its a Somerfield they are "buliding" by the Plough. So no need for this thread at all.
  5. I drove past this yesterday, noticed the sign and wondered how much it might be on for in this depressed, recession ravaged housing market. I guessed it would be ?1.25m - I was only out by the odd Million, on checking Harvey and Wheeler site it was ?2.25m. Harvey and Wheeler seem to add a bit of a premium to your house price - lets see if it is hope value or real value. Its a fantastic house though and what a location...shame you could win the lottery and still not be able to afford it. Well done to the people who have been lucky enough to get a chance to live there. Calton Avenue
  6. For you TLS, we can make an exception, you can provide betting tips while you decide when you are ready to eat. Good tips are worth waiting for.
  7. I looked at the notice a month or so ago pinned to the fencing - it clearly said "Somerfield" would be selling alcohol there.
  8. People who do not indicate annoy me as do anyone doing anything too slowly, eg eating in a restaurant for 10 mins after everyone else has finished, usually because they have been talking constantly while everyone else was eating and then they declare - "I'm so sorry I'm such a slow eater", no you're not, you just talk too much. I find that annoying.
  9. Michael - is this you way of getting a night out with all the forum ladies, while the guys are mostly watching football??? Good plan.
  10. Day 2 of a hangover. Dont understand. Unless you have alcohol poisoning you are a woos, or a girl.
  11. HP sauce i cannot do without. As for luxuries i quite like nairns scottish oat cakes for cheese.
  12. Many thanks for all your suggestions - will check them out. Mick.
  13. Not sure Canvas allow you to bring you own tents - we invested in all the gear last year and a top of the range tent, so we have everything we need and hope to make use of it.
  14. Thanks David - did mini hol in Cape D'adge last year (in late May and it rained all week:() Nice part of the world though.
  15. That one looks good Bob - will add it to the shortlist - thanks. Sherwick - have also found this one in Fouras, which also fits the bill: Fouras
  16. Thanks for that Alan - but we like to take the car with us and maybe Itlay is a bit too far with 2 kids. But thanks. Sherwick - I'll have a look at Fouras - we were near La Rochelle last year and would be happy to go back to that area. I think in general the camping in France is either 1) municipal tent campsite that seem not to have pools or 2) Eurocamp types which are a bit too organised/formal for my liking. I'll keep looking.
  17. I thought we were talking about BBW. Was woof banned too? Hope BBW gets back - quite a character.
  18. Can anyone recommend a campsite in France that is principally for tents but also has a pool. I had in mind an independently run site rather than a Eurocamp type - Eurocamp seem predominantly for mobile homes / chalets, I'd prefer a basic campsite predominantly for tents, but the kids need a pool. Location we are looking at is somewhere on the west coast of France, from south Brittany down to Bordeaux area. Any thoughts or experiences let me know - Thanks. (btw - I'm posting this in the Lounge as it gets considerably more posts than any other section)
  19. Well it maybe true for the guys too PR- the Rat Pack were a bunch of cool guys too. Elvis, Englebert, Tom Jones etc. Take That, Boyzone - not many ugly mugs there. Looks sell. Susan Boyle is probably making a living as a accountant, like me.
  20. Nice to see South East London even being noticed in awards of this nature. I'm forever reading London articles about the best pubs and restaurants and SE London rarely gets a look in - So well done Smooth Radio.
  21. Susan Boyle I'm afraid will not make it in the long run. She has talent of course, but you need the Duffy look to go with the voice. That's a fact I'm afraid.
  22. Sean - I was a fan of New labour and helped vote them in in 97 and subsequent years, But this is not New Labour - Old Labour is resurgent, this 50% rate would never have happended under Tony Blair. Cameron will not denounce it as he does not have to - Labour votes may not have been lost over this but they were already on their way out. I for one will find it hard to vote for them again. The Times today says the entrepreneurs are leaving the UK, the image of the UK as a place to attract the best has been tarnished. Any chance we can have Tony Blair back?
  23. She's 48 - there is a reason why she has not succeeded before - any guesses.... Now these guys have talent Greek Irish Dancers,,,,, Britains got talent Hilarious.
  24. Bon Scott was absolutely fantastic, [i used to have a Bon Scott patch on the back of my teenage denim jacket!?!]. AC/DC were my favourite band growing up and they have never reproduced the same standard of material since his death (imo). Highway to Hell is one of the best ever rock albums. Live in 1979 Bon Scott - Highway to Hell AC DC LIVE 1977 - Bon Scott and Angus
  25. And did you Doolittle or nothing while they were away?
