  1. Yes Quids - well said again.. We needed a massive cut in public sector spending. But we did not get it, so we are still spending tax monies.... I think this is an awful Budget. I have always voted Labour but I'm beginning to lose the faith.
  2. I'm sorry I honestly don't know what this means Lou.
  3. I'm not an Egghead. Do we all have to answer?
  4. Absolutely - I think I said before that RK ("R Kid") was poorly treated at Liverpool - it was not right to treat a quality player that way. And Matt 123 - if RK, "R Kid" does qualify for some sort of medal - it should be a thrown in the bin - he was so badly treated I'm sure his pride will dictate that he wants nothing to do with Liverpool. He was a fan all his life and I'm sure he ramains bitterly dissapointed from his experience.
  5. Switzerland, Luxembourg and Ireland are the normal choices. The UK, and people working here, are I believe not responsible for this sub prime led disaster. We have however suffered from it. Why the US has not had to eat humble pie and beg forgiveness from the rest of the world I know not why.
  6. Sean - currently we attract the best from abroad partly because of London being a financial centre and also due to some of the tax benefits for non uk nationals we have had in the past. These tax advantages are nearly all gone now. This can only weaken our position. My job is partly based on advising these people. They don't have to live here to provide services here and can easily base themselves elsewhere. Hopefully UK standard of living etc will be enough to keep them here - its this diversity that people like about London. I don't think there is a moral issue as they are not from here originally so why feel any obligation to remain. I'm not sure moves to reduce the gap between the well off and the less well of make for a stronger country. And anyway it looks like we will all feel poor soon.
  7. All true Sean, but internationally mobile employees can decide where to ply their trade and now they won't be coming here. Another dent to London's finacial centre. It does not even bring in a lot of money, and some high earners will leave, so they won't even get as much as they hoped.
  8. new 50% top rate for > ?150k earners from 2010 and No benefit of personal allowance.
  9. Chancellor growth predictions 2009 (-3.5%) 2010 +1.25% 2011 +3.5% Maybe optimistic.
  10. Did he die alone?
  11. Can't see Chelsea doing it sorry - Can't see MU dropping sufficient points to put Chelsea in the picture even if Chelsea win all their games.
  12. Sue - Kind Regards has now been shortened (by some) to "KRs".... how cool is that?
  13. Gosh Mike - I'd hate to see your wallpaper.

    Tit Monday

Aisling - I can tell you are far too nice for this poker game.
  15. Have had a quick look - MU can win the title with 5 wins and a draw from 7 games left. Seems max that Pool can now achieve is 86 Points being 71 points plus 15. Still a chance for Liverpool I would have thought - however Betfair are offering Liverpool at 7.8 - quite generous I think, there are a lot of points to be won and lost. (that could be TLS offering the 7.8 - so do not take much of his money)

    Tit Monday

Interestingly this thread does not say girls not allowed, although it seems to go without saying. But funny enough not a single girl has posted, why so? Having said that - I was thinking exactly what you were thinking Mr Ben - my second year in London, 1991, a friend named it "Perverts weekend", a weekend for dark sunglasses matched with sideways glances.B) I have checked the forecast and the temp this week will go: Weds 20, Thurs 21 and Friday 22 !! - So Friday may be a good evening to have an after work beer..Friday might be Tit Monday.:) I'm sure the girls of the forum can contribute to this thread....and let us know when they intend to "come out"...
  17. Arshavin - what a display My boss at work is a massive Arsenal fan - goes into big sulks when they lose - lasts for days - a few months ago when Arsenal were trying to sign Arshavin I said to him it would be great is Arsenal managed to get him - he said he was not convinced - all Arsenal fans will surely be convinced of his quality now. [can you keep him though - when the big clubs come sniffing? :)]
  18. CW1 - not kiwi fruit surely - what were you thinking????
  19. You look good DM - no need to be embarrassed.
  20. Yes good point David - I guess thay have a number of kickers eg Ellis but the fly half is an important position to be left without, so yes it's a bit of a gamble. Is there not the potential to draft in another in the event of injuries - i think there might be.
  21. From Ireland missing out are Darcy, Horan, Hayes, otherwise they are pretty much all there.
