David - the party is the squad that the team (the cabinet) is picked from. The party picks the leader and it picks the team and it debates the policies. It can rid itself of the leader and the team if it thinks fit, so I don't agree that you can separate the two. If the party had Denis Skinner's policies it would not be in power, ever. Kinnock, Smith and Blair modernised the party. Anyone who agrees more with Skinner than these 3 modernisers then perhaps agrees with an outdated socialism.

Cheers Tommy - I have checked my pound coin collection and am now ?3 poorer. Best I spend them. Its like when you go to pay in pound coins in a car park pay machine - you always seem to have one pound coin that keeps getting rejected, so they must be very common.

The seats in the back needed refurbed/replaced at least 5 years ago. I'm not sure if they have because I no longer go in that part - but I'd say the pub is really well positioned and could have a big catchment if it got its act together and did a proper refurb. It only seems to be busy on sports events.

Its interesting and perhaps correct that women may cycle less assertively as you suggest. I'd say however that these lorry drivers don't see what's on their inside. I'm not a cyclist but I'd say if I was I would NEVER drive up the inside of a lorry or bus, whether they were indicating or not, I simply would not trust them. It seems that most of the deaths are where lorries turn left across a cyclist's path. It may be that men, in general, cycle with more speed hence being able to get away from traffic more often, but there are plenty of male cyclists dying too, so no cyclist is safe, really its very dangerous in rush hour, too dangerous for me. I would add that as a driver, cyclists should be aware that drivers have a lot to concentrate on in front of them as well as in the rear view mirror and cyclists should never assume that even a car driver has seen them come up either side of their car.

Not a good night for the Pool. What chance do they have now? 10/1 chance of getting past Chelsea? They need 3-0 (or 3-1 plus penalties) away from home - thats a long shot for sure. If it ends up with them winning the league then who cares.

I've had a tenner on Zach Johnson for starters Quids - at 50/1 on betfair - not bad for a former champion. He also did well in a recent USPGA tournament. Outsiders Calcavecchia and Fred Couples? Harrington worth a bet too perhaps.
