  1. I sold my 11 year old Alfa Romeo to a Polish guy recently. I'm going to open myself up as a Polish Shop, they'll buy anything.

  3. I'm a huge fan of the Gowlett pizza. I'd like to see a sit down pizzeria on LL rather than the take away places. Or perhaps the Plough should specialize in pizza to take over from the Mag (which I don't think does pizza anymore but could be wrong), but also I'm not sure if a pub does good pizza it needs to do anything else? surely everyone likes good pizza? Most high streets have a sit down pizzeria, so we are def missing something, perhaps a business opp for someone.
  4. Kells......for that....you're fired. [AMS].
  5. Yep I think I have and Nesbitt's across the road too. In fact have been to too many pubs in Dublin.
  6. What Sean said.

He later made a new statement confirming he hates England. When asked why he lived here, he could not think of a single good reason why he was here and immediatley left for Ireland.

  9. Yes Brum I have said for a few years now that if there had been scientists around before the last Ice Age, they would have said there was something we could have done about it. I think its a nonsense or arrogance to think we can in any material way impact or prevent global warming. What we do may have an immaterial impact but its too big a problem for us to be solve/impact. It typical human arrogance to think we can solve / control everything. The earth made us, we did not make it.

  11. Debra could be the early runner for superb!tch this year. Just seems to smirk when someone has a go at her, a bit patronising. The geordie Philip and last nighs team leader, Howard, are not going to get on.

    April 1st

Lots of police in the St James / Mayfair area today, wearing Dickson of Dock Green uniforms, those "careful laddy" stares should scare away any do badders next week.
  13. There is talk of a swap - McGeady to Spurs and "Pile of chenko" to Celtic. In which case Spurs 8 Celtic 0 is more likely but Celtic directors would have made a ?2m profit and that is all they care about, balance sheets not football achievements. If we sell McGeady I'll not be best pleased.
  14. A four-team friendly tournament will take place at Spur's ground White Hart Lane in London between July 24th and 26th this summer, which will include Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, Glasgow Celtic and Egyptian champions Al Ahly Cairo.
  15. Rock on Tommy.
  16. I'll be in Edinburgh at a wedding - so no lights on in our house. Otherwise I'm not sure what the point is? Can you explain what it achieves or encourages us to do? How does switching your lights off save the planet?
  17. Absolutley agree Matthew - but I'm going to give this one a few weeks to see if it bites.
  18. BBW - Carlsberg Special Brew, breakfast of champions - I think the only time I could get away with that was in the late 1980s at university - the only time in your life when you can do pretty much what you want for 3 years, and get away with it, drink and party in the day and get away with it and as long as you passed the exams, noone cared. Great days. But the "breakfast of champions" line made me laugh.
  19. Well - what did we think? She talked herself into a hole I guess - but it always seems to be the leaders / conflictors who end up in the boardroom. Lots of nobodys get to walk into the next round not really having done anything or been noticed doing anything. Think Debra was lucky to get away with calling her team puppets. Was that Carole Vorderman on the panel - she looks better all the time.

We are allowed to wear jeans - that should fool them.
  21. Sorry Cam - when I see a thread with the word Nigel, I get all annoyed with the bus driver chap. At least it bumps your thread.
  22. When I first had children, I was so unfit just changimg nappies was hard work, walking up and down stairs, bathing babies, running after toddlers, you soon get fit (ish).
  23. Is this Bus no. 185 Nigel's Road. If so its not before time.

    Sunglasses

I have never really got into the sunglasses thing - if I ever have them I lose them, thus don't invest much money. But hey this year is different - I'm going to get the prescription versions - I'm going to invest! Any recommendations as to where best to go (its a cost conscious investment)....I need normal glasses and sunglasses. My wife says specsavers - there must be somewhere better.
