  1. If you don't have Sky, watch it live here (not perfect but better than nothing) Man U Liverpool or here http://apap26.blogspot.com/2009/03/manchester-u-liverpool.html
  2. Absolutley agree with everything ibilly99 has said. Cannot understand why anyone wants to see this guy, thought the ticket sales would bomb, but shows how much I know. Also whether he is even capable of doing these gigs must be in doubt - has he said a sane word in the last ten years?
  3. Changes are made to the FR team. Today is moving day. Enjoy the games. From an Irish perspective I'd settle for any victory against the Scots. I was at this fixture 2 years ago and Ireland were facing the scots after beating England 43-13. They were expected to win comfortably, but it needed a late penalty from Ronan O Gara (on one of his good days) to win by just a point if I remember correctly, it had looked like Ireland were going to win the game. I think Ireland might have been overconfident that day and hopefully they will not be today. I think it means so much to them that they will win today. I think that they will have the right attitude, they know its so important for them to win something otherwise this team has little to show for the last 5 or 6 years, when they have I feel been the best Ireland team for a very long time, but they need a championship or grand slam to hang their hat on. Enjoy.
  4. Just recovering from hangover. Ladbrokes were doing an unbelievably generous new account bet yesterday - Offering a free ?200 bet for ?100 invested. A friend and myself split it between us and put the whole ?300 on Kauto Star. Great horse and anyone who saw it win the King George on boxing day would not have had any doubts. See you for the National.
  5. Ok ????. I can't change from Kauto Star though. Red Devil - again these is zero correlation between our bets, so we are not both going to get rich... Good luck guys.
  6. Well Quids - you are very quiet - but don't worry, Cheltenham is always difficult - now its all about the pride of winning the big one - that should banish the blues - so who have you gone for??
  7. Friday - Kauto Star for the Gold Cup plus assorted guesses below: 1:30 Cheltenham ? Win Walkon 1:30 Cheltenham ? EW Simarian 2:05 Cheltenham ? EW Sesenta 2:05 Cheltenham ? 9. Yep - I had it done in the back garden last year, much improved draingage and I believe Dulwich Golf Club had it done a few years ago too, definatley recommended, helps fertility.

  11. much better today. Imperial chief won and also backed chopoturgeon at last minute.
  12. Although Punchestown is widely backed to beat it, so a bit of a worry.

  14. A winner at 3/1. Hooray.
  15. Gerrards side foot half volley last night was, for me, exceptional. Goals of the month/season are often given to long shots into the top corner that on another day could have gone wide or over, I think in terms of finishing, this goal showed the greatest possible skill. One of his best goals.
  16. yes much credit due to liverpool for last nights performance. Just think rafa missed a great opportunilty to finally do it for you this year and you should not give him a new contract.
  17. Backing 3 favourites tomoz: 1.30 Can't buy time 2.05 M D'Haguenet (napped in evening standard and tipped in r post) 4.40 Alexander Severus
  18. Its the girls I look at on Madmen, very sharp dressers, pointy.
  19. I'm shortly about to celebrate a whole winter with NO mice - first time in years - very happy, hate them all.
  20. I saw Liverpool were going to win comfortably and switched to itv4 for the Chelsea game - which was good. Liverpool were no doubt great tonight, but they really need the big prize, the holy grail, the Premiership. As Shankly said (paraphrases) "this clubs primary objective each year will always be to win the English League Championship" If Liverpool win the Champions League they cannot lay claim to be the best in Europe (not like the old days) as they have not been the best team in England for so long (unfortunatley). I think Rafa has to go if you want to achieve that. I suspect Liverpool would swop a Champions League (or even two) to be the best team in England again. THE LEAGUE IS YOUR BREAD N BUTTER - Bill Shankly Interviewed shortly after the 1973 League & UEFA cup ?double?, Bill Shankly pointed proudly to the glistening First Division championship trophy and described it as the club?s ?bread and butter?. He said that being successful in Europe had been good for the club and good for the country but that winning the League was what the club wanted to do ?all the time?.
  21. Snorky - the miners rose up - but unfortunately Maggie was tougher, beat them back down.
  22. Was it a Hillman Hunter? ;-)
  23. I'm annoyed - I have typed on so may threads I have practically missed Madman, my favourite show. Its over.
  24. Whao - the War Production Coordinating Commitee! She is scary but nice. I like a little definition in the female arm.
