  1. Well Quids - I've just taken the 3.05 (>2/1) on betfair. It seems looking at KS's record he has won on all ground conditions, so having checked the weather I'm not too concerned about the ground and hopefully it will not rain too much betwixt now and Friday. Its my biggest bet to date. I'm hoping therefore its a case of last year was a blip on his record. I watched a rerun of last years race and Denman was fantastic but it seemed KS brushed every fence, was never in rhythm during the race and actually despite all that, he was not a million miles away in the end (2nd 7l behind) so I think if he is back on form he will win, fingers crossed. - but as I'm sure you know, no horse has ever won, lost and then won again so it would be new ground. Let me know who you choose in the end.
  2. Oh come on - he's not that bad surely. When I was at school he was the coolest guy in Ireland. What I don't like about him though is the quite severe double standards (IMO), he goes on and on and on about Africa, but surely charity begins at home and I hear that U2 use all high level tax planning at their disposal to use offshore tax structuring to avoid paying Irish taxes. At a time when the Irish economy is in reverse, the "big players" in Ireland should be oblidged to pay their home country taxes. To avoid (legitimatley) paying taxes in your home country whilst irritating everyone about giving to charity and saving Africa I think is double standards. You are right - I guess he is that bad.
  3. Wild guess - Botham?
  4. K Star now edging above 2/1 on Betfair - anyone reason why?
  5. Yes - you are right so far B) You still should give the answer - I do "gimmes" in golf but not on quizzes....
  6. Apparently the Fat Duck is on Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares tonight.. Channel 4 at 9pm. It allegedly contains the line: "Call yourself a f*cking chef Blumenthal - call this a f*cking kitchen - just look at it - its f*cking disgusting man"
  7. Ok one from me instead then - what horse in the 1990s was the oldest to win the King George and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot and the following year would perhaps have also gone on to win the Breeders Cup Classic had Frankie Detorri switched his whip to prevent the horse losing significant ground by running wide and finishing third? No googling please - if you are a racing fan you will probably know it - Quids?
  8. Homeopathy - women believe in it, men don't Anti ageing creams......
  9. Well I think the question could remain until someone hopefully gets it but in the meantime Declan or Quids could give us another question to get us moving again?

  11. declan well made point and perhaps i dont watch as much footie as others but i feel ronaldo goes down unnecessarily far too often. Also i think there should be an onus on all players to stay on their feet and ride a tackle where possible which does not currently happen. Id prefer a return to a tougher game as the attitude now is touch me and i will go down. I love to watch a player try to ride a tackle and head for goal a great example being maradona v england 1986.
  12. i too think ronaldo is a bit of a prima dona. More importantly i dont understand why he gets away with petulant off the ball kicks. He should be sent off for all of there and during the suspension be required to watch what george best put up with, real tackles by real men and his response was to get up get on with it and beat the man again.

  14. Very good ratty, I liked that. Take your coat off and come back in.
  15. I quite liked the Sun headline after a rare early German european championship exit with "Kraut You Go..."

But yes it was a great headline..
  17. Hope your right snorky, the grim reaper of redundancy still hangs over most city institutions.
  18. Nice to see proper order restored north of the border last night, that's the main thing, am expecting Paddy Power to pay out on Celtic soon, we let Gers back into it, but they messed it up, that won't happen again.
  19. its because rafa has a natural aversion to goal scorers.

Liverpool used to have a policy of only signing players with big ugly noses - Phil Thompson, Ian Rush, Aldridge etc. What this all proves is that, decade after decade, ugly players win titles.
  21. Domitianus - Do something useful with your fortune telling - Who's going to win this years Cheltenham Gold Cup?
  22. I know of jags but for those who don't know, how much does adult membership cost?
  23. ???? Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The best you can get for KS at the moment is 2/1 Who is that with quids? I could only see 7/4. Thanks. I notice almost all of the big races have a short price favourite which is not ideal, means you end up looking at backing horses you don't think are the best horse but the favourite is too short. Masterminded is 1/3 for the Qn Mother Champion Chase, which seems ridiculously low, even for a "wonder horse".

Which bookie has paid out Atila - is it Paddy Power?
