I rarely use the no 12 bus and it will be a while before I use it again. I am quite affected by the shooting yesterday, but only because I have children. I was playing with my daughter on the rye Sunday midday and trying to get her to ride her bike for the first time without stabilisers. We walked back up Friern Road at about 12.30, obviously not far off the time and location of the shooting. I'm going to stay clear of the peckham rye end of ED for a while and that includes the no 12 bus.

Yes Robyn - I like University Challenge too - always pleased to get about 5 right. Give myself a half point if I guess the same answer as the student, even if it turns out to be wrong, shows that I was at least thinking along the right lines.

I think the answer must be that its contagious. I can't believe how often I post, never mind some others - but I for one am mightily impressed with the quality of the comments and the tongue in cheek nature of the humour of the forumites. They make it what it is, I guess its just a group of people who get to know each others personalities online, the more they get to know each other the more they have to say to each other. Its great to think that you can start a thread and people will say something, anything, about it rather than let it die, so people post with confidence.

There has been one bad decision made this season that's more important than any other and that's rafa's decision to play it cautious when leading the league. He did not and has not gone for the wins that could have had Liverpool out of sight by now. Liverpool fans will probably feel at the end of this season that this was "opportunity missed". All talk of individual refereeing decisions is futile in the overall scheme of things, imo. (although its still fun to argue decisions of course).

I think the trouble is Kuntama - you have been on a loser from the start, you can't suggest racism is in someones mind, you will just get peoples backs up as there may well have been a completely rational explanation for what happened. I think therefore since the opening post you have been under pressure to support a weak point. If you have a case of real racism however, then Im sure people would be sympathetic.

It was not really tht kind of rumble I had in mind DM, but enjoy. A word of caution however - my father in law was an army man, he's not so hot now - old grey and fat, some of them don't age that well.

No quids - but I have never found a single person to agree with me, so don't expect that to change today.

I was in the Gowlett for a few drinks and pizza last night with my wife. Its a fantastic pub, one of the best in ED now.
