  1. Thanks for enlightening this to us in the area emc but it's it's been happening a few years now.
  2. Sorry to hear that too. Have you checked with shops opposite the off-license, especially Barclays, who should (hopefully as a bank!) have CCTV installed.
  3. You can click on your message and edit it, so erase or change the whole message, but you can't move to a different section. Only admin can do that I think.
  4. Hope you find something suitable. As soon as I read your post I thought of BHS but alas they are no more! They had a lovely flower girl/bridesmaid range.
  5. Just to say Sheilas wheels are another company that you put your faith in but they don't always support you in the end!
  6. How terrible for you and so sad for the fox. He probably had to be put down I would think with those injuries.
  7. I see it's in the Lost and found section.
  8. Just heard a spate of fireworks from over Dulwich Village way. It's not the 5th November or Diwali so can only think it's Burn's Night?
  9. I had some video tapes transferred to DVD last year and took them to Boots at Lewisham and Croydon. I'm sure they do cine film as well.
  10. Sorry meant the Croydon branch, although they've had ear piercings in the past at Lewisham but I think that branch don't do them anymore.
  11. Ahh yes thanks, Pollards! Wish they were still around.
  12. My daughters have not had any probs with Claire's Accessories over the years and youngest was at the Lewisham branch last October where the service was excellent.
  13. Where is Khans bargains please? C&A were still there until the early 90s on two big floors where the row of shops before Santander is now and I remember Boots, Saxone, Lilley & Skinner, Dolcis, Boots (somewhere near where Argos is now I think) and Louisa you've just jogged a memory of me and my dear Mum visiting the Sainsburys counter where Clarks shoe shop is now. Remember the record shop. DulwichFox, I can't remember the name of a shop that was up near the Post Office on rye lane. They had a branch in Walworth Road too that were handy for lots of things like towels, curtains, net curtains. They had a yellow coloured sign. Was that Peacrys? BHS was where Primark is now.
  14. Were they moved to the family classifieds as they're still there.
  15. Both blackbirds back today skittling around the grass and feeding.
  16. Would be good to hear how the OP got on. According to their website, JAGS have space for 45 members using their car park. Non members have to drop off and park somewhere else.
  17. I've not seen so many small birds at my feeder today and hoping some didn't perish last night in the very cold weather. Usually have two blackbirds that are always together but only seen the one today. Hope it isn't the case but early this morning even car brake was frozen and could hardly move and that's never happened before.
  18. History
  19. Their car park is quite small so I wouldn't bother trying to park there. If you get to the party around 15 minutes before it starts you can park on surrounding streets as the North Dulwich parking zone doesn't operate at the weekend.
  20. Had no trouble getting my children out the door for school and they were always keen/eager to get there to join in with their friends and join in with the school day. This was pre-internet/mobile day, so no alarms, playing under the duvet, but as a parent I knew it was my responsibility to get them there! Getting up earlier than them and waking them up was a normal school day for me. At 6 and 9 children are old enough to learn about getting up and getting ready for the day but they still need an adult to show them the way!
  21. Hope you get feedback from parents using other nurseries in the area but I would steer well clear motorbird!
  22. It doesn't have to be chaos! Your older children at 5 and 6 should be able to help and be able to be considerate to a baby's needs so that will probably help in the mornings and at school pick up. You need to think about yourself at 5 months pregnant!
  23. So great! Was born near Camberwell in 1963 so thanks for posting!
  24. I would say a registered childminder would be your best bet! Most childminders only accept enquiries when a child is born so you might need to wait a while!
