  1. Stephen Yaxley-Lennon probably says some Things people agree with and others people Disagree with but probably these are things people may think privately but would rather not say them publicly to prevent offence.
  2. Yes and you're digressing from the name of this thread, so can we get back to that and if you wish to play semantics, I suggest you either play tit for tat with Admin via private message or or on a separate thread. And don't forget, Admin is the Darth Vader of the Forum, it can giveth and taketh away at the swipe of a keyboard key.
  3. Louisa has unfortunately left the building.
  4. I found a song..................Hi-Gloss - You'll Never Know Louisa, hope this cheers you up, have a bop in the garden, seriously please stay, you'd be missed
  5. Anyone else experiencing a Virgin mobile / EE outage at the moment?
  6. It's the selection and mixing of tunes
  7. Can anyone really tell the difference between a chicken from the butchers and an organic free range chicken> Apart from the cost. Because I certainly don;t think I could and I very much many others could either. Usually a nice plump chicken from the butchers comes in at under a tenner. I vary rarely buy pre-packed meat from the supermarket, much prefer the butchers because I know it is fresh.
  8. Not just anybody playing sets, Norman Jay will be partaking, well worth seeing.
  9. There are alternatives to WR and this new butchers in the Village. Personally I use and can happily recommend W,Buntings on Peckham Park Road, it's on the 78 bus route just off Peckham Hill street close to the junction with the Old Kent Road. I always get well looked after, is a family run business who care about what they do.
  10. Here's laying down tunes from the day................. Oops!...I Did It Again (Official Video) Act like you know Get down Saturday night Crazy Keep On Walkin' Gangsta?s Paradise Its over Coffee-Casanova (Your playing Days Are Over] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKyPa2F_SR8 Bourgie Bourgie
  11. SO when the current Queen dies Charles III will become King and Camilla will become Queen, I really can't see that being acceptable or won't do the Royals any favours based on Camilla's track record. Them William will eventually inherit the throne William V maybe in 20 years with Katherine (Kate) becoming Queen. That will be followed by George VII, Queen Charlotte and potentially King Louie. Can't see Harry becoming King Harold III. I have no problem with William onwards taking their future Royal roles although. They are flesh and blood the same as we are, their privilege being inherited makes them no better or worse than any other man, women or child in the UK, Commonwealth or World. In 1937 Edward VIII married an American divorcee, Wallis Simpson, you'd have thought the monarchy would have learnt from history. It seems Harry's wife already has made it clear she wants to continue with her campaigning and being a feminist. I wonder how the Royals and the Court see her?
  12. Harry is apparently not Royal, being the supposed son of James Hewitt's liaison with Diana. Was he at the wedding?? Their still trying to do away with him.
  13. Is dependant on the skills someone has and the employers looking for staff, so probably the largest local employer is Kings College Hospital, Sainsburys - retail, the hospitality industry and estate agency.
  14. ditto the Heaton Arms/Cooperative Building which from memory was a two or three story department store. Now converted into flats with shops at pavement level. It reminds me of a number of the pubs that used to be on the Old Kent Road which in their day were land marks and have all since gone. The World Turned Upside Down, The Thomas A Becket, The Dunn Cow, The Green Man, Frog and Nightgown
  15. It is sad to see James have lost his position as councillor, he was regularly on the forum taking queries and trying to sort things out/improve things for residents. For those who voted for a one party state, it means their is no longer any opposition so they will do as they please. They are supposed to represent and be accountable. What has been voted for is not democracy, it's a dictatorship.
  16. You got what you voted for, live with the consequences while the rest suffer.
  17. So just how long is it since Whately Road was re-surfaced? A matter of weeks I believe. Well today 03/05/18 Thames Water have arrived and guess what are now DIGGING UP an area at the junction with Lordship Lane. Do Thames water never learn or talk with the council, and how long before the P13 is back on diversion, give me S-T-R-E-N-G-T-H. And the Lib Dems where going door to door as I passed through at lunch time, didn't think they were allowed to do so on polling day?
  18. The red can of ant killer available at supermarkets works a treat.
  19. SERIOUSLY, that must be an error, no way can it be classed as Good. It is the WORST GP surgery in South London. Unfortunately Dr. McColl passed away last year so how can she be named as one of two people who run the service. The report says "The practice offers 44 GP sessions per week" This must be an error and a serious one at that. Reception needs to get its acct together and treat patients with care and compassion because those who go to the surgery do so as they are unwell. If the surgery staff say they are going to do something for a patient or promise to return a call then I suggest they abide by what they say rather than doing what suits them and not the patients. It's the patients experience that is the most important thing, that starts from either phoning or going to the surgery. CQC can say what they like, they see the surgery on one day, the surgery needs to prove through it's actions that it has been assessed as being Good by CQC. Patients are the one's who know best what their experience has been because they have regular interactions with the surgery. Only last week I spent over 30 mins waiting for the phone to be answered mid afternoon and eventually gave up and went in person to sort out an issue.
  20. Don't ask the Councillors, they'll have Wardens swooping like Sea Gulls. or was that Eric Cantona!!!!
  21. I think that it can safely be said that the residents of East Dulwich say HELL NO to a CPZ. So, Councillors, read it and weep. It's a huge THUMBS DOWN FROM ED TO CPZ.
  22. Farcical. you couldn't make it up if you tried, why don't you inconvenience everyone AGAIN. Oh BUT you are. What seems to be forgotten is that people rely on the P13 who live on roads adjacent to Underhill so that they can get to Sainsburys DKH. Being on diversion will again further inconvenience a great number of people. Someone needs to get this sorted ASAP.
  23. So finally gave up and went to the surgery, after some time saw someone from the Pharmacy dept who provided me with the prescription I was due. It was a very very painful experience to get something so straight forward. Suggest they put the needs of patients ahead of the mundane processes and procedures they have that are clearly designed to take ages to work through. How about a community owned and run Doctor's Practice were patients needs are at the heart of the practice. Does anyone know if community surgeries exist??
  24. How does a telephone consultation get changed to a face to face consultation, answer incompetent receptionist, so why did I bother waiting for a call that never happened, Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
