  1. Now, correct me if I am mistaken (am 100% certain I am not:))), aren't there now two outstanding matters which remain to be resolved? 1. Mr. Honaloochie Boogie was to eat his own head were "Milfwall" not selected as winner. 2. In a similar vein, that incorrigible computer HAL9000 was to consume Brendan's hat. *alerts Interpol*
  2. Narnia Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Dynamites...........that's the name you chose? Yes, Dulwich Dynamites is the winner - named by Mamma Mia! Congratulations MM. Think name is going to be amended to EDF Dynamites in order to recognise Mark's Forum. But hey...speak to the Queen herself! I could be giving you all the wrong info...:-S
  3. I like your foresight and entrepreneurial spirit...go for it... Stelios seems like a nice enough bloke...I reckon he would look at your case most sympathetically...

Ha ha...I know what you mean...I bought my last pair from the 99p shop!

Hmmmm, I'm afraid that Quids bloke has already tried that one! Not only are you a bad, bad boy Mr. Pallywotsitooos, manifestly possessing not a shred of morals, but you are also becoming slow in your old age. There and again, did you ever move to our secluded little village? Given the location of the glasses when found, I would be prepared to reconsider your case if you have.
  6. Jolly good... *returns to rocking chair*
  7. Meh... ...one keeps crap out of the house, the other keeps crap off your head...
  8. Ah que mierda!
  9. Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- >...Loads of people in the South used to wear flat > caps... Yes, I thought so too Sue...I think that other myth is all down to that "Hovis Lad" (or should that be "Ovis Ludd"?).
  10. Indeed... Nowt wrong with aspiring to being one of the best...and they are a good team. Resembling a root vegetable/member of a no-frills airline brigade is a small price to pay...
  11. Right on cue!
  12. Guess if it's good enough for Easijet...
  13. Orange?
  14. Narnia, this will not help your wife's current situation one iota. However, for future trips - ensure you have a copy of the vital pages of your passport (as well as a copy of your credit cards, any EHIC card, any travel insurance, or any medical prescriptions). Needless to say, it is vital to keep the copies away from the originals. They will save you an awful amount of unnecessary grief should the worse happen in future. I hope your wife's experience didn't spoil her trip too much.

Me too...though energy is one thing I seem to have plenty of...much to the dismay of others...kids seem to like it though... > Suppose frozen > one's would be too heavy. Not at all Narnia, not at all...it's just that - at the moment - I am unable to spare the frozen ones...let's just say they are needed elsewhere...
  16. *lobs semi...ahem..."defrosted" pack of frozen peas at Narnia*

Just for you LM I > will devise a footy drill to get this accross to > you for once and for all :) Much appreciated DJKQ. How are your knees? I'm not limping any more, but going up the stairs is a pain...and my groin/hip has gone numb...too many frozen peas? :)) Spring chickens we aint!!! LOL!!! *takes another ibuprofen*
  18. The photos do add a great deal of interest to the area. I was fascinated.
  19. Too true...sounds as though I missed out equally. *expects HAL9000 to turn up soon and to start spouting on about Hugh Everett's many-worlds interpretation*
  20. Hmmmm...it's hard to tell LOL!!! Anyway: HAS ANYONE LOST A PAIR OF SUNGLASSES?
  21. Ha ha ha...Narnia... Crystal Swing have obviously scarred you for life...they are bad...gawd indeed... Ahhhhh, but Declan Nerney was very good - you missed out. You too Sue and OliviaDee.
  22. Narnia Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > That depends where you acquired the ball. If you > were onside when you got it you can run where ever > you like......mucky style. Okay...thanks...I think the lightbulb on top of my head just briefly flickered!
  23. Narnia Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > History of offside > > This is quite interesting. It is isn't it? So it would appear that one reason, at least, for this rule was that certain players ("kick-throughs") positioned themselves permanently near their opponent's goal. So what? I can recall Gary Lineker hanging around the goal area so that he could add even more goals to his already impressive list! (At least that's what it looked like to me - in those days). As for the rule that a player was "off his side" if he was standing in front of the ball, well I'm jolly glad that someone had the sense to amend it!
  24. Oh...just one more thing...(please?)... Does the offside rule apply only when making a pass? What I am trying to say here is...if, for example, I acquire the ball and then, George Best/Lionel Messi style, (without passing it on) dribble across a vast expanse of the pitch and shoot, will I fall foul of the off side rule then? Anyone? Again, answers to be articulated appropriately for pea brains (or Americans;-)). Thanks in advance.
