    Ruskin Park

Blimey, I really do need to get out more (actually...on reflection...perhaps not)...I've never seen such behaviour

I think I might just take your advice - for once;-) Watch this space for reports of crapping ED-effers.

  5. Regarding the technology (or lack of it), it would have made little difference to the final outcome on this occasion. England just weren't up to the Germans. Sad thing to say but alas it's the truth. Oh Rooney, Oh Rooney...
  6. *does darndest not to laugh* that's not funny *sniggers* it really isn't

A cyclists' utopia? Now that would be something - just imagine it. We wouldn't have to worry about things like helmets because the chances of sustaining a severe head injury would be so greatly reduced. And we could actually enjoy the ride instead of having to pray each time a heavy goods vehicle approached, or the prospect of a busy gyratory loomed ahead. Sadly, I think we can only dream of such a thing for the moment as I cannot see it happening for a long, long time...unless (perhaps) if the Green Party were to get in...and even then... *wakes up* ...nope can't see it happening for a while... But you are right, London would be all the more pleasant for it. *goes back to dreaming*
  8. That's it! Fair dos to Germany though...they played well. Oh Rooney - what happened.
  9. This is TOO painful...Jeez...why aren't they defending better?
  10. The Metropolitan Police has set up a new(ish) website to allow road users to report dangerous behaviour: here The site was recently in the news when a cyclist complained about a van driver who deliberately swerved into him. This resulted in the driver being sacked when video evidence was used against him.
  11. hmmmm...my neighbour would probably find that very funny... Oh dear...
  12. Narnia, now I am confused. Here...cut and pasted from the net: verb: If someone is pissing themselves, or is pissing themselves laughing, they are laughing a lot.
  13. Hope this isn't too late. One of my neighbours - he is quite dear really - has come up with two more names for the above competition. He doesn't own a computer and has therefore requested that I post on his behalf. Ahem... (1) The East Dulwich Cripples (2) The Dulwich Old Girls PLEASE DO NOT SHOOT THE MESSENGER. *shakes head in disbelief*
  14. *bursts out laughing* Which answer will determine your attendance Narnia?

You couldn't run even if tethered to a moving Porsche!;-) But you did do a vanishing act... ...but we've found you again, so all is well.
  17. Well you could have told us...whereupon we would have promptly drunk your pint! LOL!! Anyway, a great evening all the same.
  18. I never left...it's MM who did the vanishing act!
  19. Ratty is right! Not a nice place to be. But relieved you didn't include Man. U in that list Quids - though Lord knows they are having problems of their own at present. *wraps green and gold scarf defiantly around neck*
  20. Ahem! I believe I won the second race though...you CAN remember the second race - right? (through the park at Goose Green?)? LOL! Anyway Quids, you have longer legs than me...you should have given me a head start. Now Mick Mac...what on earth happened to you in the Bishop? Left Quids, me and your untouched beer sitting there like a couple of lemons. You just...erm...kinda...vanished! But yes, a fabulous evening.
  21. Ah, there you are!
  22. Oh Katie1997, sorry to have missed you...there were more than 4 of us in the end (9ish at last count?)... It was a really great evening...and the venue was lovely...
