Well it seems you would! If you mailed me you should have an invite to the first meeting. If however you;ve just seen this then drop me a mail, [email protected] Subject: Homeworker Club, and I'll let you know about our first meeting, to take pleace onj the afternoon of the 16th December. Regards Eric
  2. Folks, In case you've not been inside, make yourselves feel right at home by watching this first.... http://www.videodetective.com/titledetails.aspx?publishedid=443214, which was filmed inside, And as it's quite close, I may take a wander down myself, but won't be singing...you'll be glad to know....
  3. Is this something people would be interested in? If so, drop me a mail, [email protected] Subject: Homeworker Club, and I'll keep you posted on venue/date of first meeting. Thanks for showing interest, but can I ask you to mail me please. It's easier to set you all up on a mailing list than to PM you all! As we know, time is money! (I'll also only BCC you for the first few times, until we all get to know each other.) Also, Loz's idea of a party is something I had seriously thought about as perhaps the first meeting. Not a beery night out, we all know how to do that, but perhaps lunch somewhere local pub to get to know each other. So if you want to come along to our first meeting, which will take the form of a "Party" then drop me that mail , and the day of the week you'd prefer, and I'll sort out a venue. I'd see this taking place on week commencing Monday 15th December, before we all may have to start drifting off around the country. I look forward to meeting you all in due course. Cheers Eric
  4. Hi All, Well, the DHW club had its first meeting this week, with a few ideas kicked about for how the group should go forward. There are plans for a Forum where the group can meet to discuss all matters relevant to the homeworker, and to hold regular meetings towards the end of each month. If you'd be interested in joining then please visit www.photograph-er.co.uk/DHW and register. Alternatively you can keep an eye on this posting for the dates/locations of future meetings. We're open to you if you work from home for whatever reason, be it self employed, or simply because you're home based, and you miss not being part of a bigger group of people. We hope to give you the chance to bounce ideas around, have a bit of a moan about procrastinating over your accounts, maybe a bit of networking or simply getting out of the house. Regards Eric
  5. Cheers for that link, only GT4 there really floats my boat. Oh well, never mind eh! WTD: Cheap steering wheel... ;-) and I'd better get that rally seat frame made up too... OH, can I rig a PS2 into a PC monitor?
  6. Folks, Getting a s/hand PS2 some time soon, to while away the odd quiet afternoon. So, given I like rallying games, what's the recommendations for the best of the bunch. Also, are there any good "quirky" possibly games out there for two players? Tia
  7. > What price now the Gormley bollards along > Bellenden Road... What was odd was going to the Angel earler this year, and noticing that the bollards around that are the same as down Bellenden Road. Recycle and Reuse....
  8. Sadly I didn't have a good experience on Friday night. With Friends, and ordered 3 Pints Of Doom Bar. As we were chatting didn't taste it until the 3 were poured. It was off, tasted of pure vinegar. So, girl very willingly swapped it for Spitfire. I tasted the first pint. That was off too! We opted for "Safe" drinks, stayed for one and left. VERY Disapointed to see that the labels for these beers hadn't been turned around, and it was still on sale. Can't say I'm in a hurry to go back.
  9. IS that going to open as a motor spares place again? I do hope so, I got a garage 100yds from there, then it promptly shut! Was gutted!
  10. Yes, sorry Libra, but the law is regarding the displaying of a tax disc. I know, I know, I know, Harsh. But taking an opposing view, they would have to accept every "It's in the post" notice on a windscreen as gospel, and that would just open the floodgates. Of course the "Handling" of the complaint doesn't really help at all, and i see your frustrations. On the matter of Tax, the reminders come nice and early, so when it does buy the disc onlince, and get back 20 mins of your life by avoiding the Post Office Queue. Also, one point that always gets me. If a car is untaxed/insured and so on. Why crush it? Why not seize it, and sell it through the auctions??? Surely a bit more eco friendly! And don;lt get me started on the suggested "10 yr old and off the roads" ruling that someone has suggested for europe....

ALMOST true, but not quite...It was not the mob, but the US government, to keep the links with the Kennedy's quiet....... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Yes....It was the Enema of the State..... . . . . . . . I'll get me coat.
  12. Now reading this is curious. I looked at my transactions yesterday and discovered last week i was apparently in Essen in Germany and took out ?150 at the bank. Needless to say i wasn't. But I was in Essen in March. What's the view. My card got cloned in Germany, and they've kept it quiet until now? Or i;ve been stung on the lane, and it;s a big co-incidence...? E

Vauxhall M4/M5... > My dad would insist on us getting up at 3am and letting us sleep while he drove - Wise man....better be tired at a hotel, than in a car with whinging kids... Drive it overnight. Roads are empty, and it becomes an adventure...
  14. Declan, When do you need this by, and can you PM me with some other info about the people, including their real names. I MIGHT be able to come up with something for you. No promises, I have a busy week ahead, but can try for you. PM me the info if you're interested. Eric
  15. Can I offer this.....simply genius.... www.indexed.blogspot.com
  16. That ties in with what my wife saw when she worked in A&E there, about 20 years ago...
  17. Hi Jonsuissy, Yes, can we have more please? I look at these and wonder just what the world was really like then? ED Grove just looks wonderful. LIfe at that pace, instead of today's frantic running about, must have been better for the sould and mind? E
  18. Sean is right. There is no kitchen, but I can't fault the toasties/Panini's - Quiz night tonight too, 8:45pm, why not combine?

  20. jumpinjackflash Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Anyone else doing it? LTP, what time you hoping > for?! Sorry Jumpin, not been on the forums of late, so missed this question. I'm not going to be able to make it. Someone has had the audacity to invite me to their 50th birthday party tonight! I have never run a 5k timed, but looking at the monthly 2 mile race I do with the club, which is usually in the 13's I was hoping to go sub 20. Might have to go and try one of the Battersea Park 5k's to get my first official timing. Talk at the club of late is about tackling an Ultra Marathon...HHmmmmm London to Brighton is tempting... Still while sipping a beer tonight I'll be thinking of you all. Full report, and race route tomorrow please!
  21. Jarvis Cocker. He use to go out with someone who lived next door. This was in the late 1980's, before I moved in, so I didn't really see him, but could well have done had things been different in my life, so it counts... Oh, and someone not so much as saw, but found Bon Scott....Poor bugger.

  23. TJS Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hi all, I have always seen this service in the > Car Park of the football staduim.... I always rated these guys, until I took my white car along to them. I just jumped back in, and drove off. About three hours later, when i had a look at the car, there weer distinct marks all over the paintwork, in the patters on where there cloths had been. I have subsequently tried washing it again myself, but still they remain. Really Pi$$ed off at this. So, be careful...
