Surely it will require some form of restraining mechanism, or it might just fall off of its own accord... Shoulders not being very good at keeping things up by the poorly designed sloping attitude.

The one thing that I have picked up from this whole discussion is that I have gone through my whole life, until about 2 mins ago, imagining "Chip On Your Shoulder" as a deep fried chip, not a "Small bit missing" chip....I'm certainly enlightened. Must say, knowing Loz as I do, the attack on him was a bit unfair, and very very wide of the mark. When i saw this post initally my first thought was..."Why?" (I work in motoring and know quite well a few of the guys in the Gay Classic Car Club and have often thought about asking the same question. Why segregate?)

Yes, was woken by the wardrobe doors in the bedroom rattling away and wife asking me what I was doing (Wary I was up to my old wardrobe rattling tricks again...clearly..) How exciting!

"We (I?) forgot to take a camera with us (doh!), but we did take a few snaps on our phones....My, how I have forgotten how limiting a film camera is with only 24 snaps to take, and no way to preview them to see what they look like." But not as limiting as not taking one.... ;-) Sounds good, but a bit on the expensive side (relatively speaking of course....) unless prices have hikes substantially since I was there?

Cycle Access from Copleston/Oglander Roads to Grove Vale

Pete, Fully support this, but at Coplestone at that end is one way, might it not be wise to change that to no entry for motor vehicles be in order also? Eric -
As a dog walker, who does scoop I may add, I must say I am perplexed as to why the larger space of the green is given to dogs, and not the smaller area. That way, you could let the dog off the lead when you enter the area, without having to worry if the two other gates are open. Much as we'd all like dogs that are remote control to the nearest inch, you have to accept that they still have their own wills. Peckhamgatecrasher....there is little point in muzzling a dog...the offending items are emitted from the opposite end that are the crux of your problem!

FWIW I change every 6000 miles.

HI Jim, I have seen an ariel shot fo the ground, on FA Cup day I believe, but can't remember where it was for the life of me. It looked like the White Horse final though, a sea of flat caps. Out of interest did you then come into Hoopers after the game? I was there for the rugby.

snorky Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Best car insurance tip ? Is to run a classic car...Pre-1974 if you can, that way there is no road tax. Also, if you do limited miles, and if you're a commuting Londoner you're probably able to get away with maybe a 5000 mile policy, then you can get a classic insurance policy. For my three cars, (1959, 1974 & 1984) I paid ?160 fully comp last year. Also, you'd be suprised at the availabilty of spares for some cars. Taking the MG B and the original mini for example, you can buy everything to build a car from new if you wish, and some people do!

East Dulwich parking survey just hit.

I think this sounds like a bit of a money making scheme if you;re going to link it to CO2 emissions? Surely parking should be encouraged, as it reduces the CO2 emissions? Eric -

Just had a look at their website and was intrigued,(Curious some would say...) by the Metrosexual link and spotted the wonderful irony of the picture frames...PMSL!!!

Moving to Fenwick Road - off East Dulwich Road
LostThePlot replied to Jenni's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hope this does not put a dampener on matters, but a female frind, who lives in that area told me she had a knife held to her throat a couple of weekends ago, outside of the Rye hotel. About 8pm in the evening. Luckily a cyclist stopped and she was able to run off. Of course, this could happen anywhere, but as others have said, don't look like a victim. -
Bugger, they are dead handy if you need to get something PDQ. Wonder if they'll be selling off their stock. Always fancied a really good Rotring Pen set. Sad but true.
