I Interailed in 1991, and got a Vaporetta (Sp??) to the hostel in Venice. As i stepped off the boat an english girl said "They are closed, they are being rebuilt, so there are no beds" "Oh well" I replied, and go and see anyway... 3 weeks later I'm walking out of the large cathedral in Vienna and the same girl walks past me and says "I told you they didn't have any beds...." made I larf....
  2. I'll be a little later as of to the NEC on Friday, so expect to be there for about 9 I guess, assuming the traffic is good. E
  3. In the early 90's I met a woman, about 10 years older than me, in London, and got on famously with her, as she came from very near my home in the North East. Anyway, one thing lead to another and, well....we go on VERY famously. We started seeing each other and then I mentioned her to my mum, saying where she was from and so on... Mum however sounded a bit unsure about this (Cares about her son I thought) anyhoo....two days later I get a call from my mum telling me to stop seeing this woman, and explained that she was actually my father's oldest daughter from his previous marriage.....( It was a bit scary at the time...but we look back and laugh about it now...
  4. So, have we many turning up this Friday then.....? Loz, you coming?

There are many reasons for stopping in the road, (Children running out and such like...) and if someone goes into you it is their fault 99.9% of the time, for driving without due care, or for simply being too close to stop. Mister M, suggest you now go to the Police in person, also tell your insurance company what happened....and amybe a local paper, if the police seem a little slow to respond. Don;t mention the driving down one way streets though, as in this Fuc&ed up world you'll end up getting done...

If I find a shoppkeeper on the phone i will not just hand over money, but make them tell me how much it is, and also ask for something totally obscure (A made up magazine usually....) petty I know, but I don't get out much, so need some entertainment.... ;-)

Forgive me Matt, but what exactly is a gay friendly pub? Surely a pub is a pub, and your sexuality should have nothing to do with it.....

  10. Ant Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'd rather be a photographer. So why not do it? I worked for BT for 16 years until 2005, then left and did my photography. Earning about a quarter of what I was then, (Not mega bucks by any means!) but happy as Larry now. It is hard though, non of then Rankin cack, churning out same old same old day after day... Sort out your market and get into it. Get know, get your work seen by as many people as you can. If you ever need inspiration and encouragement then go into a large WHSmiths and look at the magazine wall. Now count the magazine. Now, coult how many have a photo on the front.... Someone has to supply them! Start now, and within 5 years you could be as poor and happy as me!
  11. I fancy having the "Other Way Up" Symbol and words on my ankle/calf, but can't decide if it should be readable when I'm standing up, for comedy effect, or the other way, so it reads correctly..... But am a big Jessie so unlikely to get it done...

I'll help in your photography, but there are some barriers I will not cross!! =8-0 Must say though I have not seen this thread until about 10 mins ago, and am smacked in the bog at just how open (sorry...) everyone is being about this! Absolutley hilarious.! Who says us brits are shy and retiring..... I'd add my own comments of course, but feel the pressure of everyone knowing your perversions when we next meet may be too much for my heart to take. Having said that though, I really have a thing for kissing girls just after they've had a ciggie..though I hate smoking with a passion....I'm sure it says far more about me than I ever could..

Which is a seemless segway into my job as a freelance motoring photographer/writer. (Mainly Classic Cars stuff...so if anyone has anything interesting give me a shout! Also if you drive a Merc, any age, then give me a PM, as I write about them also....)

Or do you mean an Austin 7... ;-)

Mockey's just winding you up! T-Shirt story, what a load of baloney. .... Or no, I can;t think of anything cunning to throw you off the scent. Yes I have a "Lost The Plot" t-short, but embarrasingly I could not find it...... All, When my alarm went off at 5am I was seriously regretting having had more than my supposed two pints. Felt crap all day, and even crapper this morning having watched the rugby in a dive of a pub in Chichester, then rolling into my tent. I think I'm going to have abath now and go to bed.....or maybe watch tonights match in Hoopers....Who knows! Anyway, to everyone I met, a big thanks for making me feel so welcome. Dicussions included Camera Porn, Golf Porn and Halo 3 Porn.....YOu know who you are so thanks! I look forward to recognising faces on the street now, looking forward to the next one, and will refuse any work for the day after! E

  18. P'Rose, Easy TIGER!!! DarnSarf was responding to my posting about VFM. Quite resonable post I thought, not sure why you took Umbridge with it. I presume the "Best say nowt" was due to some involvement in some way. NOw, lets all play nicely!
  19. Widdershins....excellent word! OK, will maybe see some folks there then! Mockney, no I won't be it'll all be nicely packed for tomorrow's exploits, but do come and have a chat to me about cameras porn.....
  20. On a general note, what's the form for introducing one's self at these gatherings. Is there a rose to be carried, a handshake to be adopted? What's the form.....
