  2. It's silly season. Anyone who doubts this should pick up the Evening Standard for Mihir Bose's piece on the shrinking violet and all round greatest ever thing in world football, Gerard Houllier

It wasn't funny the first time, it certainly ain't funny this time. 0/10 lacks class
  9. Tomorrow I will be on a plane to San Francisco, so I will miss the game, result and post match furore. ?500 and the ticket is yours.
  10. Can't say I'm surprised, they will make Ideological hay while the sun shines on a bolloxed economy. However if you voted for LD, look yourself in the mirror and ask "is this anywhere fucking near what I wanted?"
  11. BP are a global concern, a company with a +40% american ownership, they fit the American dream of capitalism without borders, so successfully that they are the worlds 4th biggest company. They employed multiple companies to effect this risk, Seacrest (owner of the platform) and Halliburton (where have I heard that name before!!!!!!) amongst others. Two months down the line certain engineers are saying that warnings were ignored and that BP are culpable. Two months. I'll say that again, TWO months. What I am trying to say is that this is a huge embarrassment to the US government, deep sea drilling is a massively risky venture and is going on all round the coast of America, primarily to feed the USA's enormous appetite for the stuff. It ain't coming here. The fault can be spread fairly around all concerns but I will say, would you allow someone to drill, virtually unchecked for oil, knowing that a mistake could lead to environmental disaster? Because that's what seems to have happened.

More fool you.
  16. Sorry Steve, it's a world game, hence the title.
  17. I swear I saw Rooney looking at the touchline with about 15 mins to go as if to say" get me off". Something looked very wrong from the off, almost like there had been a barney in the dressing room. Conspiracy? Yes, but I'm fucked if I can explain that performance
  18. I have two (not so) little girls and I'd be proud. Spellbound...'kin 'tastic
  19. It's the ball I tell you, it's just way too round.
  20. Funnily enough no-one mentioned the ball tonight.
  21. Motorhead. Friars in Aylesbury. Hearing has never been the same. (1980 I think)
  22. Hopefully Jonathon Spector will play, so stick Lennon near him and watch him turn him inside out every couple of minutes. Every other player did that last season anyway.
  23. Why would they do that? They are European, part of the E.U.
