  2. 14 March 2023 Sad to report the untimely passing of Bobby Caldwell, "Robert Hunter Caldwell was an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He released several albums spanning R&B, soul, jazz, and adult contemporary. He is known for his soulful and versatile vocals."

  5. Use Krystals but since the business changed hands last year, service levels have varied, tbh a bit hit and miss. Used to be run like a well oiled machine. The ladies on the main counter are lovely to deal with, as is their post office.
  6. Thanks for your lengthy response. FHRGP do not appear to have access to hospital blood test results, which is honestly absurd. "the left hand still does not not know what the right hand is doing" There was no option of verbal consent, the lad behind the counter printed the form once and then reprinted it, I expect to include the testing but conveniently failed to mention it or give me the option to opt out. The lady who took the bloods at Tessa Jowell Centre proceeded to take three vials of blood and only when I pointed out I did not consent to HIV testing, that she wrote that on the form. I'm guessing it was still probably tested. FHRGP approach was underhand and sly. However in their defence, the Practice Manager did agree that I should have been told and given the option to opt out. She said she was going to talk to both reception and clinical staff about this. I feel she realised an error had occurred through the "forgetfulness" otherwise known as the carelessness of the lad on reception.

  8. Having failed to provide a service before. during and after Christmas 2022, Royal Mail 15% for 1st class letters and 10% for 2nd class letters. How can such an increase ne justified? Beggars belief.
  9. I'm guessing it's close to the end of the financial year and of course highways need to spend the remaining budget so they have this work done, but then I'm just speculating, maybe its a conspiracy theory, who knows. But to be serious, why was this work not done at the same time as when Conways extended the pavements by the primary school. Would have been all done in one go then.
  10. Seems as though the roadworks on Underhill road did not commence, and all the signs saying when and how long it would last have all gone, the P13 was running on the way back this afternoon along the road.
  11. In Lewisham for 2023/24 it is rising from £85 to £93.50, a 9.95% increase, "We have tried to keep our subscription charges as low as possible, however due to increased operational costs imposed upon the service we have had to raise the subscription fee for the coming year to £93.50" The previous year it rose by £6.25%, £80 to £85.
  12. The P13 seems to have suffered most over the last 18months or so being on diversion due to roadworks meaning parts of the route are not served plus the impact of the recent Abellio strikes. This time to parts of the route are being diverted due to road works, Bellenden Road and Whately and Underhill Road's. Shame they could not have done these works during the strikes. And how many times do they intend to excavate Bellenden Road, last time it was for extending pavements, road narrowing including by the primary school. All very frustrating. Not much we can do but try to find alternative ways of accessing transport, so much for the TfL slogan "every journey matters" On a seperate point I notice that when bus shelters are replaced with new one's, those that had bus waiting times displayed are not being replaced. By the cemetery on Forest Hill Road, the new stand had this new bus tracking system, however its upside down, the wonders of TfL never cease!!!
  13. from TfL "BELLENDEN ROAD, SE15: From 09:00 Monday 20 February until 19:00 Friday 24 February, ROUTE P13 is on diversion between Edgar Kail Way and Rye Lane in both directions via Dog Kennel Hill, Grove Vale, East Dulwich Road and Peckham Rye. Northbound buses are missing stops from/to Pytchley Road and Blenheim Grove." AND IN ADDITION FROM 22/02/2023 "UNDERHILL ROAD, East Dulwich: Route P13 is on diversion in both directions between 08:00 and 17:00 each day from Wednesday 22 until Saturday 25 February due to resurfacing works. Buses are diverted via Barry Road and Lordship Lane, missing stops from Friern Road to Belvoir Road towards Streatham and from Underhill Road / Melford Road to Friern Road towards New Cross Gate."
  14. Maybe the logical question to ask is why do people have wood burners installed. In light of the cost of living crisis I can sort of understand why they light them on a chilly evening, however when you open the front door you can smell the heavy smoke in the air. Burner goes off, smokey air dissipates. At this time of year windows are closed so I don't know how you smell the smoke unless you are outdoors in the evening, but then I'd ask what are you doing out when it's cold, dark and damp?
  15. In Lewisham, D ban properties will pay an additional 6.02%, Bands E - G even more.
  16. London does not need a Mayor of London, we were fine before and we can get on with our lives without Khan who is a dictator and tyrant, in fact we do not need one FULLSTOP. All he does is extract money from Londoners, continually increasing the costs Londoners endure on a daily basis. The rational for imposing ULEZ in outer London boroughs, however the outer London boroughs do not need ULEZ, they are probably the greenest boroughs in London anyway, i.e. Bromley. Khan has successfully contradicted himself, it is nothing less than a money grab in an attempt to cover the hige errors he made with TfL during the pandemic when transport in London was free. He messed up, why is ne making Londoners pay for his mistakes. How about cutting the excessive salaries of TfL senior management staff.
  17. My issues are two fold, this is being done WITHOUT consent, the Practice Manager admitted it is optional, the receptionist failed to tell me this or give me the option. So what is being done is underhand and on the sly. I do not want my data shared with a third party (especially Southwark Council) without my consent. FHRGP is breaching GDPR as the information on the appointment booking in screen can be seen by members of the public, The screen needs to be moved to a more appropriate position.
  18. I was contacted by FHRGP for an annual blood test, so I went to collect the paperwork (although Tessa Jowell centre have a system whereby all that is needed is a reference number, that's how Kings College Hospital arrange outpatient blood tests). Anyhow, on reading through the paperwork that had been handed to me, one of the blood tests was HIV Screening. This got me wondering, who or why would this be screened for? And if it's apparently Optional (right yeah), then why are patients not given the option to opt out of the screening. I was told my the Practice Manager that Southwark Council request this to be done with all blood tests. I was flabbergasted and taken aback. WHY would Southwark Council be screening it's residents for HIV? and Why? And why was none of this explained when the blood test form was passed to me that it's optional (although apparently it should have been but was NOT). And now doubt FHRGP get paid for this!!! From the data the council will know how many people will have tested positive or negative, assume they are gay and who these people are. Because surely if someone did test positive, the practice will need to contact them to offer them treatment. But it will certainly be an interesting conversation if they did not know they were being screened for HIV in the first place. This opens a can of worms for FHRGP. So at the TJC funnily enough they took THREE vials of blood, and on asking why, I was to be screened for HIV although I had told the Practice Manager I did not want to be screened. So on the bottom of the form are the stickers which are attached to the vials. Again the process is not open and transparent. The lady wrote I did not want to be screened and I assume screening will not take place. SO how about confidentiality and my human rights at FHRGP, I had to ask to go into a side room for the discussion at the practice as the Practice Manager tried to start the discussion in reception. NOT ON. GDPR - the screen in reception where you book in for your appointment breaches GDPR regulations as you can see users date of birth, name and appointment time. If you can see the data, that is a breach of the regulations, I suggest the screen is moved to a more appropriate location or patients refuse to use it as it breaches GDPR.
  19. Good to see that you're seeking feedback on your proposed changes. Since you took over ownership you have gradually added small changes and additions to improve what is available for users to delve into. So any of these new proposed changes will have been through some level of "testing" by users so if and when they go live it will provide confidence to users that what has changed has been previously scrutinised. It will be interesting to see the changes being rolled out and the format and what can be done as a result of the changes.
  20. If you take a look at the schools Ofsted performance, it has come on leaps and bounds from were it was performing academically. In the most recent Ofsted inspection now four year's ago, it was graded by Ofsted as being Outstanding in all categories, that is phenomenal and demonstrates how far the school has progressed at giving its pupils the opportunity to meet and exceed their expectations. Bearing in mind where the school is in Peckham, in south east London, that makes it even more of a success story. I went there as a pupil in the 1970's, so to see how well it is doing, fills me with joy.
