  1. I agree James life is about who to trust and when, on past experience with EFA they have been untrustworthy. I shall look forward to seeing all finances handled by Habs actually going to the pupils it was intended for. I'm slightly surprised you've made no mention of them and regardless of who is at fault the children were the victims. By the way James life is also about being able to question things that don't feel right to you, maybe a clearer picture will come with the court case.
  2. james its nice to know you have total faith in the EFA, unfortunately many don't. Why if problems have been addressed this information has not been explained to parents, what has been done to stop this happening again. The fact 2 other schools have been approved may satisfy you it certainly does not me.
  3. Dont you mean Gaza situation, but lets not mix up threads here that have no relation to Habs.
  4. Thanks fushia, I notice on your link there is no defrauded amount given for 2012, considering they were not informed until 1st November that year, i'm assuming it took Habs all on that year until reporting it,which by the answer on the link it appears they stopped the fraud. I thought it was in the contract between them and EFA to report to Efa immediately. This is not about taking away all the work people have put into this,I had no idea about this case regarding fraud. I believe james would make light of any genuine concerns or am i "being a bit silly", preferring to stick to the, The big question what shall we call it, have I missed something, has a definite decision been made ruling out charter.
  5. http://leftfootforward.org/2014/07/anyone-interested-in-education-can-learn-from-the-haberdashers-askes-debacle/ here's an interesting piece written by a habs parent.
  6. http://www.theguardian.com/education/2014/jul/12/academy-letter-parents-2m-fraud Just saw this (link above) about the fraud, further down it says, "The federation is believed to have been in the running to open another school in East Dulwich but a rival academy chain recently emerged as front runner" Otta I am merely asking a question, havent you heard of history repeating itsf. In light of the mismanagements of finace by a number of academys earlier this year, of course i'm not saying thats what happened in this case, I can only wait on the outcome. And seriously what information can parent give to media regarding interfering in any prosecution.
  7. As i've said already James, its not just about Habs,as much as you can't seem to see past that. All cases of fraud must be reported to EFA, this contract between themselves and providers has been questioned on there transparency. Now we're being told when major fraud has been committed we must accept that no explanation will be given regardless of this case going in front of a high court judge. I would have thought the Efa had some clout in moving this on. I take it Habs are in contact with EFA over this matter.
  8. Jame It feels "a bit silly to me", that the name of the school seems more important to you, than the dealings of a significant fraud, where the EFA are still srongly encouraging providers to adopt the Habs Federation financial management. Have Habs gave any public statement after the ruling of the high court. Surely there was plenty evidence for the decision to be made. I am not saying the problem lies soley with Habs, i have always thought of a civil procedure as an alternative to criminal. I find it very worrying that this amount of money can be defrauded, go before a high court judge and still no criminal proceedings, regardless of the evidence given for the judges decision. It feels to me like the law is being used to cover a crime. I would suggest they call in the department dealing with benefit fraud, i suppose theres to much money involved and ever so complicated.
  9. Considering he was arrested almost two years ago its not surprising theres a question over what happened here. I don't quite understand why the police, as James said, would tell Habs to keep it quiet for fear of scuppering a court case, i'd like to know what has stopped this case from being held in a criminal court.
  10. Fuschia its the first I've heard about it, it seems very strange no charges were brought sooner if a criminal act was committed, especially with civic court ruling. Where did you hear the spending was authorised, i'd b interested to know. James believes the EFA are more open but don't want to hold my breath waiting on that source. Thanks.
  11. Yes james I understand there is a problem with fraud what i don't get is how a civil court can make a ruling to recover money, when no criminal charges were brought. I would have thought the EFA woulld have pressed for charges rather than chasing money which was not recovered.
  12. James Can you tell me if it was the EFA that tried to recover this money, as in the case of the special needs school, earlier this year. Where again people were asked not to comment. http://m.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/news/crime/police-bail-the-three-people-arrested-in-fraud-probe-at-east-durham-school-1-6538900
  13. http://www.reeves.co/academies-news-updates/ The problem with keeping it quiet, it is then hard to see how big the problem is. Link above, scroll down to 23rd June. Are you reporting all incidents of fraud? Is your internet security software up to date. It seems fraud is a concern for the EFA amongst the academy sector.

I know, iv'e been practicing to be a hard cynic for years, i'm told it stops you crying, and i've got a tap to turn off and on when i choose. The children killed on the beach was horrendous, I watched this last night, there were so many people, Journalists filming this, I totally understand the need to let people see what is happening, But there were so many people the ambulance men couldnt get the doors shut.

http://www.imemc.org/article/68487 israel human rights say international laws being broken. To call a ceasefire through the media, where no contact was made with Palestine is wrong, To use the election of Hamas to justify civilians guilt, then refusing to recognise them as a polutical party when it comes to a ceasefire is wrong. The link above states what is law, Israels acts are crimes. Interpretation is being twisted to suit,

Whatabout if you see it as a massacre or not. Whatabout it not getting in the way of day to day business. Whataboutery covers a lot, can anyone imagine how these people will feel, knowing people know what is happening, and a decision like this is made supporting the people targetting your family. Whatabout international law.

Veolia enterprise will, in a couple of weeks in Cheshire be managing the disposal of Some of Syrias chemical weapons. There is International outcry in there involvement with Israel, along with many other issues over the years, this company has been shown to believe it is above the law. http://www.dumpveolia.org.uk/ The problem with people coming together for or against a cause, often creates a situation where extreme views are argued over and important information is not heard/given.
