  1. Communist!
  2. The London Mayoral Elections 2008 where Londoners are asked, ?Which candidate would be second up against the wall, come the revolution??
  3. Or a refuse removal firm run by radical Hindu?s trying to muscle in on the local business.
  4. Oh, I was really wondering about cake at this Girls Aloud party Leon is organising.

  6. I can?t find who posted that originally snorky but it did make me laugh. It starts out with ?I live in Balham? and then somehow manages to just get worse.
  7. Tonight I shall be cooked for.
  8. Ah but does the Vale have the original 70s table light that looks like it came off of the set of Life on Mars
  9. Yes they are counted. It's just not encouraged. I've been tempted to spoil mine in the past.
  10. I must admit I have many more, shall we call them, ?Falling Down moments? on public transport than I do in my car.
  11. I saw the blonde girl from East Enders in the Plough last night. The one who was the daughter of the guy out of the Blur video.
  12. That makes it worse. ::o filth!
  13. Yep. The road works going on at the moment are annoying people somewhat methinks. It took the bus 40 minutes to get from the Plough to Denmark Hill Station this morning.
  14. Am I the only person who thinks that is a particularly rude name for a suburb?
  15. Once there was a man selling apples. Everybody bought his apples so he put the price up. They carried on buying his apples so he put the price up some more. They still bought them. So he put them up some more to see what would happen. People still bought them. So he carried on putting them up bit by bit every day until one day people said. ?We don?t have enough money to buy your apples anymore.? I can?t understand why people can?t see how simple it is. If any product increases in price at the higher rate than peoples? earnings do then it is going to hit a point where the customers can no longer afford it and the market will no longer be there. There are a whole lot of factors involved that frill the edges and make it sound more complex but in general they are just a load of cock fabricated by bankers to make money for themselves. How do you like them apples?
  16. I?d be up for a game, I like snooker me. As for watching it, well I?d rather be bored thanks. If the thought of playing with small balls on a big pitch whilst scrutinised by the portraits of long dead Tory PMs or actually having to leave the borders of ED is too daunting, ?tis always the option of pool at the Gowlett or The Castle.
  17. So which pubs have 80s music nights?
  18. It's filmed here. And yes I agree that it is a great show. My wife was actually surprised that I liked it. "Thought it was too girly for you." she said. Pah, just coz I spend most of my time watching the Simpsons and Mighty Boosh she thinks she can pigeon hole me.
  19. Or perhaps it was refering to Journalists. :-S
  20. By that reasoning salesmen are professionals as I once drank in a pub called the Cock and Bull.
  21. I think they should have stop motion (frame by frame) animations in strips along the walls of the tunnels so that you can watch them through the windows as you go along. It will be quite amusing when the train keeps on slowing down and then speeding up and the slowing down and then speeding up and then?
  22. Yeah. They probably have the most rigid qualification process and are the most regulated of any professionals. Maybe whoever put the list together just thought that doctors are busy enough already without having people bugging them to countersign their bureaucratic documents.
  23. Yeah so do I which just goes to show what a load of bollcoks it all is. Although I only qualify by job title. Technically as I am not a member of the ol? chartered institute I don?t think I really qualify. Or at least I don?t think I should.
  24. *Bob* Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What are 'exiting misadventures'? > Walking in to door frames on the way out of the > pub, I suppose. Happier times. Leaving the pub, the bookies, pretty much anywhere with a door.
  25. Personally I would rather live with someone with a proper job. When I was in my early twenties all my friends had proper jobs: Gareth fixed bicycles, Martin was a Barman and Steve fixed printing machines. We always had exiting misadventures happen in our daily lives that made good stories to tell in the pub and no one ever whined about stress and/or how boring their jobs were. Now we are big and Gareth does ?something in insurance?, Martin does ?something in auditing? and Steve does ?something in computers?. Every one of them is miserable in their jobs and consequently rubbish company.
