  1. I know the vending machine at ED has been repaired for a couple of weeks now, but thanks Barry for getting it sorted. Makes topping up the Oyster card much easier than going to the newsagent.
  2. Apparently it wasn't a hit and run, the driver stayed behind according to a resident who lives opposite where the accident occured.
  3. It's repeated on BBC Three at 11.50pm tonight. Three of the "Peckham Sista's" live in SE15, a forth from what I watched lives in ED as the home counties woman who went to see her went on the 12 down Barry Road.
  4. Tried my local newsagent on LL and Sainsburys DKH and neither had any copies, although there are plenty of SLP's.
  5. The Oyster PAYG evening peak rate is 4-7pm, morning is 6.30-9.30am. Also if you start your journey in the evening peak, it'll be capped at the off-peak travelcard price and not the peak.
  6. Now that College is split between two Labour and the one Tory Cllr, do all three of them share the caseload between them or will both parties provide separate ward surgeries?
  7. It looks like Labour will regain Southwark from the LD/Con NOC after 8 years.
  8. Only Lewis Robinson (CON) is still on College Ward, two new Labour Cllr's have been elected here.
  9. The new opening hours match the Sydenham store.
  10. I saw the second ticket machine at ED station today. Cards only.
  11. With SE22 now split between Jowell and Harman, while ED residents may prefer the LD, other parts of the two constituencies may still want to keep Labour in, especially in parts of Lambeth and the poorer parts of Harman's patch.
  12. Does anyone have the list of candidates for College Ward please? All I know is that on the Tory side, only Cllr Lewis Robinson will be seeking re-election as Kim Humphries and Michelle Holford have decided to leave after the election.
  13. I left the Dulwich out of my address a few years back, in any case, when I put my SE22 postcode in a checker, it never puts our town in.
  14. Hi Barry, I know the Sydenham line is no longer under your remit, but do you know if Southern will continue to publish a timetable for the line along with the additional Overground services between NXG and CP/Croydon?
  15. Mark, You would've been better off just popping down to Forest Hill and then getting a direct train to East Croydon. Less hassle than spending PAYG to LB.
  16. I appreciate Southern are providing 4tph from Forest Hill during the strike, although I expect they'll be packed to the brim next week.
  17. Nunhead Man, you can load PAYG onto child's Oyster and they'll be charged the child rate, I think up to the Child Travelcard rate which is ?2 off peak. Incidentally, London Overground services from Forest Hill and Honor Oak Park will be FREE when those services launch on May 23rd for children.
  18. The 176 was only curtailed to Trafalgar Square on Sunday due to the Chinese New Year celebrations.
  19. It'll be interesting to see by how much Tessa's majority is reduced with the new boundary. You have a Labour stronghold on the Lambeth side, College and Village wards are Tory while East Dulwich ward is Lib Dem.
  20. JBARBER Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Isn't it only 3 more stops for the 63 to reach > Honor Oak Park station. That must be a tiny rejig > of the bus timestables to make this possible. The problem would be that buses would get stuck particularly during peak hours down Honor Oak Park towards Brockley Rise which would make the 63 service unreliable for the majority of users who use the service between Forest Hill Road and Kings Cross. One of the major problems of the old 63 when it ran to Crystal Palace was the unreliability of the through services.
  21. After a stern email to TFL customer services, I received a phone call from the Oyster helpline, who have refunded me ?10 as a goodwill gesture after getting charged ?6 for a journey from Charing Cross on Jan 11th.
  22. No, it's a point to point ticket with both stations clearly printed on the ticket. If you decide that you wish to travel to ED, you'd have to technically get off the train, buy another ticket (not recommended)s or go out of the gates at PR, then use a pay as you go Oyster card to touch in. I'm sure if you went to the London Bridge ticket office, tell them you want to go to ED but have a ticket to Peckham Rye, they should be able to sell you a single from PR to ED without having to leave the train. I've done this at East Croydon when I've had to travel up to Victoria but only had a zones 1-4 travelcard. You'd be better off with a zone 1-2 travelcard if you decide to travel like this regularly.
  23. The evening peak rate Oyster price is with all TOC's.
  24. Personally I don't think an extension of the present 63 is the right option as it'd make the current service unreliable, however there is scope for a route that could start from Peckham using single deckers that runs alongside the 63 route, then the P12 to Brockley Rise so that passengers can use the new ELL service from HOP. I wouldn't mind the 63 running all the way to Crystal Palace during the day again, like applespider, I live on the ED/FH border and the 363 while more reliable doesn't take you all the way into town.
  25. 363 was diverted between Peckham Rye and Lordship Lane Wood Vale stop not serving Forest Hill Rd, Wood Vale or Underhill Road. 197 only running between Dulwich Library and Croydon, not serving Barry Road to Peckham, although that might have changed now the 12 is running down Barry Rd.
