im not sure if this topic has been covered at all anywhere else, but i was wondering if there were any specifically lesbian/gay bars in or around ED at all? ive got a couple of girl mates coming to stay with me from Oz soon who have have recently got married - and as much as they'll be more than happy in any of the bars in ED (because they are all fabulous!) im sure they would also enjoy a night of gaying it up a bit locally as well!

Hmmm - as above no lesbian places per se, but I have noticed a slightly-above-average-lesbian-clientele at:

- Green and Blue (extraordinarily high number of lesbian couples)

- Black Cherry (but less me at the moment as am boycotting due to excellent-cocktail-making-Southie-barman being on holiday or some such nonsense - pah)

ZERO sightings in the Rye. Only gay men.

Also - looks like there'll be quite a few of us at forum drinks on Friday :)

Goodness I must have walked around with my eyes closed for the past however many years then.

Not being a lesbian myself I have to rely on the votes of my lesbian friends when they come to stay - and in their opinion

Inside 72

Black Cherry

Bishop on a good night but on a bad night with too many geezers it's a no-no

They have a fondness for the waitress in Tandoori Nights as well - but then we all do

Slightly further (but not really) the Rye has always seemed to be the most populated

sometimes it seems like she's hitting on us (to this day my girl friend (who isn't my girlfriend) is convinced she was the object of affection))

Other times she just HITS us - we have been walking along the Lane, bumped into her and had her order us to wait and then follow her up the road... happy to oblige but still...

    • Hi My friend who’s a local tree surgeon unfortunately had his small Stihl petrol chainsaw stolen last week. As a tree surgeon, this is pretty gutting.    I wondered whether anyone on here might have a spare secondhand one that they don’t use anymore. Or perhaps one that’s been left in a shed or garage gathering dust that isn’t needed. Joe would be delighted and very grateful if we could magic him a replacement soon! 🤩 Thanks so much!  Claire (07946) 728879

    • I don't eat meat but if I had an air rifle the various vermin would be very afraid.  I've trapped squirrels in the loft, I wont go any further on that one. The Horniman Nature Reserve rats will take on any of yours, apart from.... Cox's walk which takes on another level.  During Covid it felt like you were in Hamelin.
