Above sighting reminded me of this post.

There goes the neighbourhood, next there will be Dragons atop of Dawson's Heights, Johnny White Walkers in the EDT and three eyed crows in Peckham Rye https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,2037466

Mark my words , Friday night fights just won't be the same once the Unsullied get involved

I'm not sure if it's "creepy", people have always been drawn to celebrities... it's only natural, if you're into a particular TV show or whatever. And to an extent it's part and parcel of pursuing a career in the public eye. There is a line, of course, but nobody is discussing what road they live on, posting secret photos of them, or anything like that.

However... saying that... I've not really heard of any of these people. (I mean, I've heard of Eastenders and Game Of Thrones, but wouldn't recognize any cast members - except for Sharon and the Mitchell brothers).

This, surely, is also about cognitive dissonance. By saying famous people (people we know/ have heard of) live around us we are trying to confirm our decision to live or stay here. If famous people shop where we shop then surely we must have taken the right location decisions? We gain, additionally, by osmosis, that their fame and fashionability will somehow rub off on us. I don't really think this is either creepy or in any way stalking. We have stumbled upon them in a public place, not searched for them in private ones.

    • I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
    • First mate - I wondered if I was imagining things at 4.45 this morning . Apparently not .
