Sad? you need to get out more.. or perhaps stay in more ;)

Been on a number of hunts, my uncle is a Ghillie / Gamekeeper in Scotland and what he doesn't know about game hunting, fishing, culls etc probably isn't worth knowing.

so speaking from experience here. getting up at godawful o'clock and trudging though a cold wet heather covered moorland and squelching through knee deep peat bogs as a beater, so some toff from London (who's probably still hung over from a skin full of scotch from the night before) can shoot whatever you scare up / out ..

personally..

I'd rather sit at my computer desk and play games. Mild mannered mathematician computer programmer by day and crocodile dundee by night really isn't my scene.

your mileage may vary obviously ;-)

Mr Twirly - I don't suppose he could sort me out with a day's fishing on the River Tweed, Tay or Dee per chance?

Its a shame this thread is so old, as i enjoy shooting and hunting, particularly on Boxing Day and other big hunt days on the calendar.

Im not able to say where these take place because of the lefty types who try and sabotage these fine events nowadays, but if anyone is interested please send me a message.

    • Went to a fireworks display maybe 20 years ago at the Crystal Palace, it wasn't bonfire night, can't remember why it was being held, Capital Radio were there. There were people hanging from a crane, classical music, and quiet fireworks,  It was lovely, still dramatic with the colours but no loud bangs. Not sure why this hasn't become the norm.
    • Hi  After a surprising split I find myself trying to furnish a home. If you gave anything that you don't want that may help I'd be so so so grateful if you could let me know please.  Thank you so much
    • Hallo As far as I know  info you have quoted is wrong.  You can phone for an appointment although I have always found it easier to do online. Go to their website for info on how to book appointments Any requests I have made have been reviewed and answered by a GP within 4 hours
    • Nadia did a great job tidying up my very very overgrown yard. (See the before and after photos). I live in New Zealand and my tenants said a neighbour has been complaining about the out of control ivy. Nadia was easy to contact so over WhatsApp, managed to liaise between me and my tenants. Her quote was reasonable for the amount of work that needed doing, and the end result is great! She sent photos throughout so I could track progress. Would highly recommend her to others.
