oh jules jules jules - textbook error, making your first post a glowing recommendation for a new business

Now, hand on your heart, say you are not connected with them and you will come along to the next forum drinks at the Forest Hill Tavern Friday next week and meet everyone?

I've visited the boutique, which indeed has replaced Jerk Rock, yesterday, as I need a new winter coat. The two sales personnel were really friendly. The prices are boutique prices, so hey, expect to pay a bit more, probably similar to Liberty's!

I didn't get a coat there but there is a lovely little swing jacket that caught my eye... very Audrey Hepburn ;-)

Went into Mrs Robinson for first time today. Absolutely lovely clothes but all teeny sizes. I am by no means large but am curvy and I struggled to find anything. Money was burning my pocket but there was absolutely nothing. Size 16 is the average size for a British woman. Shouldn't we all be able to buy beautiful clothes!
if your looking for bigger sizes and reaonably priced clothes have you been into grace and favour recently ? they are selling recycled ie second hand and some vintage clothes all cleaned of course { mostly womens } ive bought some lovley things in there mainly about the ten pound mark and in very good nick ,good labels etc they get new stuff each week :}

    • It wasn't me who started the thread! Monica no longer lives locally. I've given my opinion, and so have others, which is that it should remain  a community notice board. If you think it's better used for commercial purposes, good luck to you with organising that and deciding who gets priority.  If local businesses have "little to no marketing budget", as you say in  another post above, they surely should have taken that into account before deciding to start up a business which needs marketing other than just having a shop front and/or posting on free  places like this forum?
    • Elise babysat for me at short notice when I had to travel, looking after my two boys.  Good communication, kept me updated, all went very smoothly and no complaints from the boys. Highly recommend.
    • He supported it, but if residents voted against it he would respect that.  Many of the CPZs round here were implemented after he left and Labour took over.
    • James Barber was very involved. I do though recall he was a big supporter of CPZ so am interested to understand his thinking on these locally, plus LTN, now, and how much heed he would take of majority opposition to implementation, as has been the case recently?
