it's funny that HR is suddenly a 'crook' to any team's fans that he's left- despite any success he brought them, but is a messiah type figure when he's incumbent.

I'm a spurs fan and at the moment he's a flawed messiah, with potential to become a 'crook' when he fucks us off for the england job.

They may as well have also said 'Rafa may have drank a bottle of whiskey for his breakfast' - absolutely no quotes. The Telegraph might dress it up a bit but still no quotes from anyone at Anfield let alone Rafa. They could easily have finished story with, 'it is believed in some quarters that Ferguson was enraged when he may have heard Rooney had broken a toe nail and the FA may have shuffled him back to Old Trafford a.s.a.p. before being engulfed by another political storm with Ferguson'.
I guess they do it at every Club when they can smell blood - I am sure Spurs, Arsenal fans for instance also feel there is sometimes a vendetta against them as well. Best way to deal with it is like Ferguson and just ban the journalists who don't follow the party line from the news conferences or even particular newspapers which he has done in the past.

The only thing Rafa owes that chump is a drop kick :)

FA weren't interested in Warnock - wouldn't have made any headlines. If anything they only gave Rafa a slap on the wrists, besides the fact he should never have been charged, because it means they don't have to take the hardline on Ferguson and can thus avoid the fallout from all his cronies in the media.

Your loyalty to rafa amazes me anna. You are definately old school. How badly would he have to perform for liverpool fans not to support him.

Firstly, I notice that united fans are still as obsessed as ever. First post back after 2 weeks away and they can't even mention their own team.

MM - Rafa has one hand tied behind his back. Stop believing what SSN and the papers tell you.

We have had a ridiculous amount of bad luck with injuries this season. Gerrard, Torres probably needs a hernia op, Carra and Skrtel smashed their heads together on the first day of the season, Kelly, Agger, Riera, El Zhar, Aurelio,Dossena, Cavalieri, N'Gog, Johnson, Aquilani comes back and gets a virus.

So yeah, we should sack our manager......

Not to mention the fact he's hardly competing on a level playing field. Rafa's net spend over the past 2 seasons is ?2.5 million. ?2.5 million?! He has spent on average ?20 million a season since he has been here and has totally reshaped the team. Not bad considering our squad now contains Torres, Mascherano, Benayoun, Reina, Skrtel, Johnson to name just a few.

Our owners spent more in expenses than what they did on a single player last season. If they continue to place debt on our club, losing games at the start of the season will become the least of our worries.

    • Missing Cat! 11 months old/ Our friend, Coco, has gone missing. Last seen evening of 31st October near top of Henslowe rd where it meets Underhill Rd in SE22. We know she has started wandering up Friern Rd and further we guess but we imagine she has been spooked by Halloween / Fireworks goings on. She is a grey Siberian mix with some brown stripes down her, very friendly and likes to eat. Please let us know
    • That said, organised displays could be on Saturday before and after and the actual day, and private ones could just not have the loud ones.  It’s all down to accessibility and people caring/not caring
    • The problem this year is that 5th November falls on a Wednesday. So some places will be bringing their "bonfire night" forward to Saturday 1st and some will be knocking it back to Saturday 8th and there'll probably be a few that just go with Wednesday 5th anyway. If you're doing a public display, having it on a weekend gets more crowds. Which basically means a solid week of fireworks.
    • Fireworks in this area do feel totally incessant at this time of year, almost every evening there is terrible noise. I feel great concern for wildlife, pets (I have a senior cat who hates them), as well as people who struggle with PTSD etc. Last year I even had people setting them off in front of my home. Tonight and yesterday evening have been particularly bad. Is there anything we can do as a community to prevent this? What action can we take? Surely we shouldn’t be expected to just put up with it every year for weeks on end!
