Not yet, but as Matthew123 has outtwitted me, feel my only recourse is to pay up on the next meet, much to my absolute chagrin ! Would be worse if he was a Rag but we all know they will resort to any method to win-It's Fergie time !

Technically, Brum stands a chance as he usurped Matts skullduggery and went to PMs !

For the integrity of Football, Mick McCarthy must be charged with bringing the game into disrepute.

After winning at WHL they travelled to Man U tonight "with 10 new faces from the team that beat Tottenham"

It's the Wolves fans I feel sorry for...''42 quid to watch the reserves''.

All clubs do this to some extent, especially the bigger clubs before big European games and the cups, witness L'Arse's team against Citeh recently. The Sky pundits got it right when they said come the end of season and Wolves are relying on another club to beat one of their relegation rivals, they won't have any come back if that club fields a weakened team because they feel they have a more important game coming up. Karma normally sorts these things out...

Not sure this holds water, how many teams field 10 changes from the previous game in The Prem? The League Cup I can understand but to field a reserve side in the Premier League sets a worrying precedent especially as the purse strings of all but a handful of top sides are being drawn ever tighter and avoiding relegation rather than competing become an increasing priority.

To give McCarthy his due hes at least been forthright in his defence of last nights team selection.

...and yes I am a bitter Spud.

I agree McCarthy was out of order, but I don't see anything happening. I feel for the fans that made the trip to Old Trafford, one bloke flew in from Singapore to watch his beloved Wolves and that has got be be a kick in the goolies!!!

Liverpool did exactly the same a few seasons back for a premier match at Fulham immediately before their european final. Fulham won their first game in yonks and avoided relegation as a direct consequence. It's horridly unfair and against the spirit etc etc but there's nothing to be done!

I just wish McCarthy had put that side out last Saturday against the Spurs. Bar steward!

Having said that I'm off to White Hart Lane tonight for the game against Man City and I'm not entirely confident that we'll get the desired result. In fact I can see us taking a bit of a pasting tonight. Hope I'm wrong.

One od Rafa's greatest moves, removing thr most vile managers in the game from the league.

Sorry for making you feel it was an 'in joke' to your exclusion. Quite a few people were aware of the thread where Blueboy offered ?20 as a bet, and he was unexpectedly caught out. In this thread he was 'donating' ?20 though the liklihood of it happening are pretty slim. Hence my reference to it. Apologies again. I'll try to stick to football in future.

SimonM you are Neil Warnock and I claim my ?20 (sorry SP!)

Seem to remember Warnock playing an understrength Shef Utd team against Utd @ OT and then complaining when Fergie played a 'weakened' team against West Ham, can't have it both ways. I hope Wolves get caught out too...

I can't believe that this is the first game I've been to at White Hart Lane this season. I've normally been half a dozen times by now.

I can see us fielding our strongest team tonight as it is a huge game for us and Spuds. Jah, stay warm mate as I can't see you jumping around much unlike the Blue end of WHL ! CTID

As I mentioned earlier in the thread after the game against Wolves on Saturday I can see us taking a bit of a hammering tonight but of course I hope I'm wrong and you'll be the first to know. Come on you Spurs!!

    • I think, with schools, you really have to find the one that suits your child, rather than moving to a school catchment and then hoping it works. Mine both went to a high ranking and covetable school and had very different experiences - one loved it and the other was bullied and traumatised, and hated it. WE actually moved away because she couldn't walk around the area (yes - Dulwich area, so one of the local schools).
    • We live a little further down, on Pymers Mead. Traffic is terrible (always has been, but worse since the introduction of the Southwark LTNs). It's mainly the school drop -- traffic is noticeably lighter once the private schools break up  Have a few friends who live on that side of CR backing on to the train line. None has had any major complaints and the gardens on that stretch are fairly long, so you're not right on the line. Some have kids who go to Charter North -- its catchment defintely extends to Croxted Road. Other state secondaries nearby are Elmgreen and, of course, Kingsdale, although that doesn't have a catchment -- pure lottery
    • Hi. Does anyone know of a silver making jewellery workshop. I am trying to find something nice for my daughter’s 18th birthday.l for her and some friends but everything I find online is too pricey or can’t accommodate 10 girls. Thanks
    • Without doubt a busy road with constant traffic - but can always put in double glazing. If you have a car, don’t expect to park right outside - prob further away but with walking distance. Agree with PeckhamNicola re train times and freight but at least not wizzing by every few minutes! Sorry but little experience in state schools - obviously you have plenty of private - Jags Dulwich College, Alleyns. Judith Kerr on Half Moon Lane - good rep - no idea whether secondary or primary  - think primary. Also Charter School North - good reputation and Ark Evelyn - no idea! You might also look at West Dulwichand Crystal Palace Schools. Try Harris Academy as well. All the best.
