I hear Curbs is in the frame too. They won't hire Bilic (too strong/opinionated) as they need a yes man they can pay peanuts to, one with the reputation as a 'nice guy' (another Roeder in fact) - step forward Mr Hughton.

Man Citys FA Cup winning trophy bus parade starts in Manchester City Centre then through Ancoats, Beswick, then onto the COMS ...... The Rags bus parade starts at Pall Mall, via Westminster past Big Ben, then to down Surrey across to Devon and Cornwall, then over to Dublin, Belfast and a quick visit to Wales via Korea and Japan!
Incredible as it may sound, the rumour of Warnock to WHU refuses to die the death. It appears his position at QPR is not rock-solid, never mind that they led the Championship from first to last. Given how venal and stupid the people who own/run football clubs can often be, I don't find this story totally unbelievable. I cannot though see Colin wanting to give up managing QPR in the Premiership willingly all the same - he has something to prove at that level I reckon. And at his time of life you'd not think even a blank cheque - despite his being a Yorkshireman and therefore never taking brass less than seriously - would attract him back to the Championship with WHU. The current owners of the latter oversaw Birmingham getting back to the Premier at the first attempt after being relegated and maybe that's their plan here too - but I reckon the Charlton scenario may be just as likely.

So Ba was too tired to sign an autograph... these must be Spurs fans stirring it... what hammers fan in his right mind wants an autograph from the current crop of wage thieves?

As for Warnock NO! ANYONE but him. Bilic for preference but I'd even take Mark Robins over nelly warnock.

No worries. If Liverpool win next weekend Spurs will probably lose at home to Birmingham and that'll fcuk 'em up. Arf! "Europa League, no one likes it and we don't care."

FA Youth Cup Final 1st Leg, Sheff U v Man U

I know there's a Blades fan here. You might like to read this. Very impressive crowd. I believe Manchester beat Newcastle 1-0 en route to the Final who in turn had knocked out Dulwich Hamlet 6-2 (though it was level at HT, I think). I think the 2nd leg is on Monday.

Found the highlights. One fantastic goal. Scroll down the right to find it

    • Just to repeat the news I was given – it's not being converted into a pub. As far as I know, there's no intention of dumbing down their restaurant offering.  Although as others have pointed out, Camberwell has two pubs – The Camberwell Arms and now the Michelin-starred Kerfield Arms – with excellent food. The Palmerston used to be the only pub in ED that was of such quality, but sadly no longer IMHO.
    • The country is in a real state.  What worries me about the Greens is encouraging migration and openly offering benefits to all with visas.  Where is the money for that coming from?  As if there is spare money, as if there is growth. Where I their holistic manifesto, ensuring funds are available and this is sustainable, and regulated? Incredibly dangerous and idealistic

    • I disagree with the use of the word "sectarianism" in this context and Starmer is a total a*se to have introduced it. In my mind, sectarianism conjures up the hatred and vicious violence of The Troubles in Northern Ireland.  The divide between the Greens and Reform are a long way from that and is more reminiscent of a time when the two main parties actually stood for something and voting was more a matter of following one's political beliefs. Nobody called that sectarianism.
