Cure's first album was three imaginary boys. Boys don't cry was a sort of mini compilation I think

Apart from that, a fine selection from Pablo g

Reminds me of a great Jonathan Ross interview on radio about two years ago, so tell me 'celeb' to you like any new music, like Primal Scream (only a quarter of a century old). Also most of these just lived on there off their one 'great' album, but fair play to Noel who quickly realised that most bands only have two great albums in them. To continue.

Actually not a bad list, and Damn someone has already got the Clash in but you can add the Damned whilst you are at it.

I think this depends on longevity ie can you still play it years later - one that just seems to get better is Kate Bush the Kick Inside, it just seems to have extra dimensions.

Soft Cell Non Stop Exotic Cabaret.

Searching for the Young Soul Rebels, Dexys

Magazine, Magazine (still blows your socks off)

Joy Division, Warsaw (oh I am just being clever)

Half Man Half Biscuit Back on the DHSS

Buzzcocks Another Music in a Different Kitchen

I'll come back with some more modern stuff!

    • 4.35pm and yes, as anticipated the 'NYE' fireworks have started up again, that's a full 16 hours after the event they are meant to celebrate has been and gone.
    • I don't mind fireworks going off for NYE at midnight but I don't actually understand why they are still going off at 1am, 2am, 3am!
    • I suppose all these issues that need addressing are a reflection of the times we live in. Important and necessary but somehow destroy the underlying spirit.
    • Do you know who organised and ran it? Because it must have been quite a lot of work. Who kept track of the credits? What safeguards were they? Was there a lower age limit eg over 18? Was insurance needed? ID? Who checked it? What was the situation if somebody was injured while working in your house or garden? What if someone broke or stole something? What if someone in your house was molested or attacked? What if you weren't happy with the standard of work? Sorry to be gloomy, but whilst this sounds a great idea in theory, in common with many people I know I've had several  bad experiences with supposedly professional tradespeople, let alone someone who wasn't doing it for a living.
