I spoke to the guy at Papa Johns who said it is meant to be towed around as an advert but their 4x4 is broken. He said it will be gone by the end of Jan. It's good to up the prominence of the parade for us (BC Bikes) but when it obscures the shop it get's annoying.

Today I received an email from the lead officer.

Papa Johns havebeen told Southwark legal dept are asking up their case after the warning letter was ignored and that fine is likely to be ?1,000 + ?40 for every day.

I'm sure others will decide that supporting any business that clearly disregards the law and the local environment doesn't warrant their support.

Hello all. Just had to take issue here as I am aware of this said 'eyesore'. Slightly harsh words given rye lane is only round the corner, I wonder how many shopfronts there have full Ad Consent. That aside, there is a slight aroma of hypocrisy given that I get unsolicited advertisements from the lib dems through my letter box on a fairly regular basis Mr Barber... I guess you don't need permission to push your politics into my front room. Might is suggest all fly posters seek my permission in future before they become an unwarranted eyesore in my home.

Sorry if I missed something.

I was delighted to see this advertising trailer - if it hadn't been there I might not have seen the great deal they were doing on large or extra large pizzas! The only downside is, I have put on several pounds since Papa Johns opened up close by! I intend to keep supporting them though - I'll just have to cut back on my other food...

    • I had this same query the other week - Mediquip no longer cover Southwark and I believe the company when bankrupt? Anyway, after some digging, I found the news on the adult social care page of Southwark Council website.  The new supplier of medical equipment that is issued to Southwark residents via an OT from the council or the NHS is Provide Equipment Hub.  I emailed them about returning two items and they did promptly respond and came and picked up the items the following week.  Email them at [email protected] Importantly, they will come and do urgent repairs of equipment like hospital beds.  I'm surprised that Southwark haven't made this change more widely known as it will impact many vulnerable residents.

    • Hello East Dulwich families 👋 I wanted to introduce myself to the community. I’m a professional family & wedding photographer with 14+ years of experience, and I split my time between the US and London throughout the year. I’ll be based in London for the coming weeks and would love to photograph more local families here in East Dulwich. My approach is very relaxed and natural — no stiff posing, no pressure — just real connection, movement, and the beautiful everyday moments that tell your family’s story. I work especially well with kids and parents who feel “awkward” in front of the camera (which honestly is most of us!). Sessions can take place at home, in the park, on your favourite street, or anywhere that feels meaningful to you. The goal is to create images that feel like your life — not a photoshoot. If anyone has been thinking about documenting this season with their children, I’d love to connect, answer questions, or simply share examples of my work. No pressure at all — just happy to be here and meet some neighbours. You can see my work here: https://bluesparkphotography.com/family/ (use the contact page on the site to send me a message if you're interested!).
