The Hamlets are playing AFC Wimbledon tonight (Tuesday 7:45) at home at the Champion Hill stadium (by Sainsburys), is there likely to be a big crowd? Someone told me that the Wimbledon following will out-number the home crowd so I think we should try an rally up a few people to go. I'm going to head up with a couple of mates, is anyone else going?

edited title and text to say tonight instead of tomorrow night.

Yeah, yeah I know but I want to see a good local game in Dulwich. If Liverpool get through I can watch them again, if they don't I won't be annoyed about that and that I missed a good local game.

I saw the mightly Hamlet smite the lacklustre Ashford Town on the weekend. Was a cold, dark and wet affair but there is something about local football. Also if you read the review http://www.dulwichhamletfc.co.uk/news-story.php?ID=174

it sounds like some sort of dickensian epic. Fair play for being able to think it up. It cost exactly seven quid.

Yes, it's ?7. We watched the game last night from the relative warmth of the Hamlets Bar which has a view over the pitch and had the Liverpool game on so we had the best of both worlds. Unfortunately Dulwich lost 3-1 which put an end to their LSC chances but they're having a winning run in the league and they're currently 6th in the table so definitely worth watching. Here's their fixture list

    • The current crimes from what I hear are phone theft from the person, car theft and tradesman vehicle/tools theft. Plus of course the overall increase in stabbings and shootings across London which are becoming normalised.
    • Whilst clearly 'a crime', I don't think this necessarily sits with the other things you have described. A tragic and awful incident certainly, and dreadfully traumatic to the victim, but not part of any 'crime wave' as such, I suspect. It's the sort of thing which, sadly, can happen anywhere (I, again, suspect).
    • Does anybody have a folding pasting table they no longer need? All the ones I've found online seem to have terrible reviews, mainly due to being unstable,  or else coming apart! I don't mind if it's grubby, I just want it to gesso wallpaper lining paper, for art not walls!
    • Massive thank you to Stephen. Painted our whole house - and got lots of other bits sorted, too. Nothing was too much trouble, everything looks great and all came in on quote. Fantastic. Liverpool fan, but don’t hold that against him. Will 100% use again.
