ok 26th it is

just after pay day yeay! curry curry curry (doesnt take much to excite me now does it)

On Wednesday 26/11 we will be meeting at Tandoori Nights.

Could you let me know who will be coming? New people are always welcome.

We will probably meet in the EDT at 7.30 and I will book a table for 8.30.

Namaste!

God, i had been looking forward to this for days - I was just in that "time for a curry" frame of mind - and it didn't disappoint one little bit. I think about 9 people made it along last night (average number - but I know there are a lot more curry lovers out there - why don't you guys come along to these?). I will take on the red Chicken Handi again someday but last night was not the right time

The staff were in good form as well - in particular "Dave" had an interesting chat with us about the forum.

Now if only they would rent the old Woolwich Bank space up the road and open a proper swanky place

Yup - good eveneing with good food and company. The lamb and spinach dish that I had was very nice indeed. I need to go there more often! I had Chana on Chapati to start, which was also rather good.

"Dave" was in good form.

The after dinner drinks in Adventure Bar were a great way of rounding off the evening.

Now, December CC - when and where? Not too close to Xmas as people will have commitments.

    • But a larger number, in a more hotly contested election, didn't. It is an anomaly that Starmer won a landslide in seats with a turnout for Labour which would have shamed Labour leaders in all the 21st and much of the post war 20th century.
    • I was not suggesting anything else!   I'm not sure how you interpret what I said  as "irrelevant"? I was responding to a post saying that Corbyn was "unelectable". My point was that a  large number  of the electorate  voted for him!
    • that's exactly what happened - Brickhouse were forced to close due to rent hike and then Gail's didn't move in until covid restrictions lifted and normality resumed. Gail's would have opened much sooner as they were lined up and able to offer the landlord much higher rents. Brickhouse was a local favourite
