The website is a good start to look. You'll need several visits to really do the place justice (and that excludes any of the - sometimes riveting - special exhibitions they have on). The cafe is very nice but take a spare arm and leg with you to pay... The place is very busy at weekends, but even during the week if you are unlucky your visit can correspond with a coachload of american artlovers bussed in from a West End Hotel...


But this and the Horniman are both local jewels we are very lucky to have I think!

If you like it you should definitely consider becoming a Friend of the Gallery - since it is a very good deal, and it pays for itself v quickly. Having said that, some of the exhibitions are better than others Friends of the Uffizi (sp?) last year was brilliant for example.

      I don't know if he does newborns but I highly reccomend Will Westwood at Goose Green Clinic I've tried many Osteopaths locally and in Central London over the years and he Is now my 1st choice.... Highly qualified, and very gentle with good advice and aftercare.
