I know this is over a year old, but the Sweeney was firmed in ED, I remember when i was a kid coming home from Heber school, they were filming at the old petrol station at the top of Henslowe road.

also filmed in Ed, was Dempsey and makepeace, that was filmed in the old hairdressers on upload road, just along from family stores [where are you bir stupid Ilkay!! lol]

the film 'Mona Lisa' on Darrel road, my mum and sister [both passed away now] are in the background, when bob hoskins, is hitting the door with the dustbin.

Stanley Baxter outside the church at the bottom of henslowe road

Paul Nicol's [cant remember the show] same location as Dempsey and makepeace

seen lots of celebs, but I just ignore them! LOL

I don't live in ED anymore moved away in 2004, going backup in two weeks time, looking forward to it, from reading this forum the place has changed.

All the best.

Yes, it is and his brother Jerome lives around here too. It was, also, nice to see another E.D., actor in The Bill, last week, Mr Tim Woodward.

HH crusing Sainsubrys on Sunday afternoon, cleverly avoiding any eye contact with anyone at all and with a look of " dont come near me you scum " on her face - and wearing a thick heavy coat. Probabaly to hide the tell tale bulge of her flak jacket

    • Wow, never had a disappointing meal there since they opened.. guess like every establishment, depends on the chef.. All for allowing an off day - good of you to post.. much better than chains - had awful service at Gail’s for eg..be it cake and tea or a meal.. They are so nice and accommodating..
    • "I tried Viet Flavour and was disappointed.  Their summer rolls especially were not at all good, stodgy and flavourless.  Pho-OK.  I'm hoping it will get better " Back in June I posted as above.  I am glad to report that either the first time I went the restaurant was having an off day, or they have upped their game.  I ordered the same things.  The summer roll was exactly as it should be, and had a lovely dipping sauce. The Pho was delicious.  My brother who was with me wanted to give it 10/10 but I always think you should leave room for improvement so gave it 9/10.  Staff were lovely.  I am so glad because I love Vietnamese food and now think I have a very good one just round the corner.
    • So do I, and I started it!!!  I have changed title.
    • Absolute crickets  starmer is pretty useless and clearly unpopular.  But it’s hard to quite fathom why when compared to his peers  should Farage get elected he will be even more useless, deeply unpleasant and wi destabilise the country in all manner of ways. But people will still give him a pass they won’t starmer    see also:  Trump vs Biden
