How much is the most expensive ?

?18 seems about right in the general London area. Not cheap, but fairly average. Mind you, it's also depend who you do and don't want in your restaurant

What's on the menu

Twenty pounds a head?

Sounds very reasonable to me. What didn't you like out of interest?

Went there last night. Really nice and actually really cheap. Staff were friendly. But damn the customers were an uptight bunch (with the obvious exception of me and my party). Lots of uncommunicative couples. It's creeping in on Bellenden Road now. These disapproving looks cos you're out with kids. Or because you have kids with you. I presume that's the problem. Or it might just be that being well-off has turned out to be less fun than they'd envisaged. I'm all love and peace and hands across the ocean and all that but I was here first and so were my (not especially noisy or badly behaved) brats. I mean I'm happy for these people that they can get a deposit together to be able to afford to move to Peckham but you can't come to a neighbourhood and sulk about the people who already live there.

    • Anyone can deliver for Evri - my daughter having just passed her driving test tried Evri to make some money - they basically give you a route and as many parcels as they think you can cope with - you make money for each one you deliver, so you can imagine - speed is the priority. Why would they wait for you to answer the door when they can just throw it and take a photo? If you have a choice, choose a different courier service or shop elsewhere where they do.
    • Boil - it’s the customer’s fault, not the delivery person’s.
    • A bit of a long shot but I'm on the lookout for a portable pop-up counter or podium.   The kind you often see on a high street, used by charities or utility companies to advertise their wares.   I've included a photo to give you the idea. I'm a peckham-based artist and am looking for one for a free (and non-profit) community art project.  It can be in any workable condition and can already have signage on it as we will remove and redecorate ourselves.    Thanks in advance, Linzie
    • No I absolutely did not - that much is clear. Have you read the latest stories about Unite, Len and the hotel in Birmingham? The UK electorate were smart enough to reject a far-left party in 2019, let's hope they are smart enough to reject a far-right party at the next election too. If not we are all doomed.
