Botox. During all the recent media coverage of the floods, I noticed several female presenters standing in howling gales with totally smooth faces, apparently unable to screw their eyes up against the wind and rain. Looked very strange to me.

Not observing things anymore, nor cherishing the memory.

Instead seeing things through the eye of your smart phone and then having to share this with everyone you know three steps removed.

Worse still, being interested in what others are sharing on social media.

Ironic, that I am using social media to share my hatrid of instant information and social media.

Yes Jeremy!!! That's the sort of beard! Not the "I've had one for years because it suits me and/or I can't be arsed to shave". It's the self conscious, hipsteresque "ooh look at me, with my big bushy beard" (with or without beard comb) that gets on my wick.

Ooh, I LOVE salted caramel, though granted it's only the same principle the cookery teacher at school used when making biscuits.

I'd agree about accessory dogs though.

Especially carried while wearing trannie shoes, tramp stamp, Croydon facelift, tarantula eyelashes, scousers, botox, trout pout and tango spray tan.

I feel cleansed now.

It is spreading like a disease. Glad I don't work in an industry where I had to face that all day as I would feel duty bound to correct the user.

Yes, see also 'right' at the end of each sentence. Ok to use sparingly but at the end of every sentence becomes hard on the ears.

There is a great Eddie Izzard sketch where he bemoans the over use of the word 'awesome' by Americans.

I sincerely hope similar is available still because for many elderly their pet is their main source of comfort and company.
    • In a couple of places locally, I have come across this. I am fairly sure that they attempt to do the bill in their head. If you just say , “no, I think it’s x” they start again and get to an agreeable number, or find a calculator. I don’t think it’s a malicious attempt to swindle people. Just not great arithmetic.
    • There are excellent charities like the Greenwich Wildlife Network who will help if you report any concerns with local wildlife. Foxes are wonderful creatures who had been forced into our town and cities and are just doing their best to survive, we should take care of them when we can.
    • Like I thought… prob like that for most of the day.. especially after people had walked their dogs, with friends, relatives  kids…
