The popular animation Postman Pat (me and my little brothers were huge fans) was sold to Japanese broadcasters but was put on hold because of Postman Pat having 3 fingers and a thumb. The way his hand was shaped was (unknown to the British creators, I hope) a Yakuza gang sign/gesture and it was thought that this would cause upset in Japanese households. It was eventually released quite a while after the show was purchased.

Just some thoughts on some risque words/phrases you might want to drop into various media opportunities.

See what you think.

'Knob Jockey' - Loose Women.

'Fellatrix' - Today, John Humphrys.

'Jizz bucket' - The One Show.

'C*ntbollox' - Top Gear, this could be risky but it's massive so chance it.

'C*ntbollox' - That new show of Richard & Judy's, safe enough I reckon.

'Spunk Monkey' - GMTV.

'Filthy Whores' - BBC Breakfast.

'Wankel Rotary Engine' - This Morning.

'Completely Shagged Out' - Bargain Hunt Celebrity Tat Find.

Hope these meet with your approval DC.

And once again may I thank you for taking me on as your as your publicity maven. Me and the family are so grateful.

What with the 'other lot' not having a great time with a former hack with the initials 'AC'.

Hi KalamityKel,

Roughly 30 doors are knocked on for every hour of canvassing for issues. Roughly 15% of those 30 doors knocked on have some one in. So roughly 5 people an hour actually talked to.

We've tried evenings, Saturday and Sundays during the day. Sunday evenings. We have'nt tried Saturday evenings as our families do like to see us occassionally.

As we have day jobs we have'nt tried mon-fri during the day time. I keep my work holiday for family holidays, looking after the kids during school holidays and occassional daytime councillor engagements. This doesn't seem unreasonable.

If you'd ever like us to knock on your door say where and when.

Regards james

Says it all really dont it!

my point is not that canvassing is not done but the response - rather a case of the attitude taken where it is felt necessary to explain quite a simple thing in a simple way to someone they are clearly judging to be... well simple (no keep your agreements to yourselves on that one!) It's too funny really but I guess many with similar views to such persons would not understand.

It is a typical, pointless response from a representative of the same party where they feel they must have the last word.

    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
    • I've never got Christmas pudding. The only times I've managed to make it vaguely acceptable to people is thus: Buy a really tiny one when it's remaindered in Tesco's. They confound carbon dating, so the yellow labelled stuff at 75% off on Boxing Day will keep you going for years. Chop it up and soak it in Stones Ginger Wine and left over Scotch. Mix it in with a decent vanilla ice cream. It's like a festive Rum 'n' Raisin. Or: Stick a couple in a demijohn of Aldi vodka and serve it to guests, accompanied by 'The Party's Over' by Johnny Mathis when people simply won't leave your flat.
    • Not miserable at all! I feel the same and also want to complain to the council but not sure who or where best to aim it at? I have flagged it with our local MP and one Southwark councillor previously but only verbally when discussing other things and didn’t get anywhere other than them agreeing it was very frustrating etc. but would love to do something on paper. I think they’ve been pretty much every night for the last couple of weeks and my cat is hating it! As am I !
