This made me laugh. Banksy selling originals on a stall in NY. Very few people bought anything but I wonder if those who did buy know what bargains they snapped up.

wow, and I thought people on here had chips on their shoulders. Just wow!!!

Funny though. I got weird looks in the office when I laughed at the interviewer saying "it's called Squirrels in June"

Absolutely spot on about pop music and radio though. One of my pet rants I was having in my head this morning when Sometimes came on shuffle. WHo's doing this these days I thought, not f******g Lady Gaga with her craaayAaaazy costumes and banal, derivative, insipid r'n'b based pop that's been the chart's mainstay for over a decade without one iota of progression (except ever craaaaAyaazier costumes and more in your face sex.

I think I found myself agreeing with Sinhaighd O'Conner for the first time in my life, that's how bad things have got.

    • The biggest problem in the UK is that we don't know if we want to be a European social democracy or the US when it comes to tax - and we are left with the worst parts of both. The US has a strong growth economy and incentives that has lead to high standards of living for the middle classes. Europe has high tax, but distributed fairly across different earners, and has lead to good public services and satisfaction for all. In the UK, we have an ultra-progressive tax with disproportionate burdens on high earners. But we have poor public services because that tax burden is not spread more fairly and is therefore limited. Meanwhile, high earners feel disincentivised to work and will suppress earnings to avoid tax traps.
    • Why make it one property ? If own more that one property which together amount to over £2m then why should I escape this measure ? (I don't btw).
    • May be we should hold a Go Fund Me for the poor unfortunate individuals suffering the indignity of being stuck in a £2M "small family home".
