Louisa
Can anyone put an end to this speculation and send a tweet to them? At least we get a definitive yes or no. Louisa. worldwiser
Just don't believe a major brand like CK would be happy with a less than 2-year lease only to be kicked out after massive fit-out costs. I very much look forward to the mystery being solved. LouiseC
Louisa, I used to work for a well known Ladies High St. retailer and there is definitely a demand for Lordship Lane due to local demographic and catchment area. The issue is getting the right property at the right price in the right place. Unfortunately whether we like it or not Lordship Lane will become Northcote Rd mark 2 at some point. civilservant
Jigsaw have opened in the Village where is considerably less footfall than on LL. the current LL women's clothing offer - White Stuff, charity shops, Oliver Bonas, a couple of indies - isn't enough to meet the needs of all the demographic, so CK should do quite well. Louisa
To be fair, Cath Kidston have been opening pop-up stores around London this last year, but no mention of ED on the website. However, the short two year lease could be explained with the pop-up nature of their entry into this area.Louisa.
