jim_the_chin
Today must be about the third time this year that I've had to mount an hour-long clean up operation after one of the family stepped in dog shit - this time it was walked into the car and got on clothing too, leaving me washing clothes and scrubbing out the car. And that's before I get to move on to picking crap out of the tread of a trainer with a toothbrush. Is 3 a year about average in ED or am I just a really lucky fella? bigbadwolf
I agree, there's nothing worse than treading on a hound cable. Should rub the owners face in it. Nero
If you ring the council, they will come and spray the ground with anti-fouling signs. It's not the same as catching someone, b ut at least you are doing something. They also will remove dog dirt, or that's the claim. 020 7525 2000. Please get them to spray the signs near where you are. The more the owners' see it, the more they are aware of their unsocial behaviour. Keef
Toothbrush? That's an expensive solution, I've always used cotton buds. Fortunately not for ages though! first mate
HonaloochieB,Seriously? It's because dogs are fed on crap pet food rather than raw meaty bones of yore. The white, crumbly stuff is directly related to bone ingestion. Michael Palaeologus
In times of old the shuffling masses wandered around aimlessly whilst gazing at their feet. They had no jobs, no future, no hope; but they did avoid stepping in dog shit. jimbo1964
Got home last night after a weekend away to find a big pile of dog crap right outside my front gate. It makes me so angry. Goodrich road seems particularly bad. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/4662-dog-fouling-survey/#findComment-150432 Share on other sites

catgirl
jimbo goodrich road is awful! There must be someone who lives there who just lets their dog out to poo on the pavement I reckon. Particularly poor behaviour as there is a school there so loads of children walking up and down the road twice a day. TillieTrotter
I haven't had this problem for years. Last week walking to East Dulwich station with my son he was appalled to see lots of dog turd on the pavement. I remember it being much worse in the Good Old Days. Michael Palaeologus
You are right Tillie, the quality of dog turdage has improved over the years. I put it down to canines being fed better food which makes firmer, more aesthetically pleasing doo-doos. rankinroger
we need to report the dog fouling incidences here: http://www.southwark.gov.uk/YourServices/environment/AnimalWelfare/dogfouling.htmlhopefully, they'll get it cleaned up. Or, we could resurrect Roger Cook to trackdown the foulers!
