Today must be about the third time this year that I've had to mount an hour-long clean up operation after one of the family stepped in dog shit - this time it was walked into the car and got on clothing too, leaving me washing clothes and scrubbing out the car. And that's before I get to move on to picking crap out of the tread of a trainer with a toothbrush.

Is 3 a year about average in ED or am I just a really lucky fella?

If you ring the council, they will come and spray the ground with anti-fouling signs. It's not the same as catching someone, b ut at least you are doing something. They also will remove dog dirt, or that's the claim. 020 7525 2000. Please get them to spray the signs near where you are. The more the owners' see it, the more they are aware of their unsocial behaviour.

dulwich itself has a major poo problem, someone had the cheek to wipe the poo off their shoe & scraping it onto my steps!!!

i got kids runnin in & out most times, they're not likely to look out for shite!!! i might just ring up the council to get them to spray one of their signs near my house.....

    • I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
    • First mate - I wondered if I was imagining things at 4.45 this morning . Apparently not .
