Ha ha - beat me to it DM. ;-)

Gosh I've just hit the jackpot so my cup isn't half full it's overflowing.

Apparently, I've just won Eur 1,000,000 on a European lottery game. How brilliant is that! I didn't even need to buy a ticket. Anyway, to claim my prise I've just got to phone the lottery coordinator, who is based in Spain. It looks to be a premium rate number but, hey ho, I've got 1 million to play with so who cares about the phone bill.

It's so nice being rich. I'm off to buy some shoes. It's been a real blast getting to know you all. Byeee......

I'm very lucky in that I have always been a glass half full person. I am just one of lifes optimists and have always been able to take pleasure in small everyday things.

But recently, for various reasons, I've really struggled to feel positive for the first time in my life.

Luckily though, I have the constant support and kindness of MrJ and my friends (some of whom can be found hanging around here) to keep my cup more full then empty even in difficult times.

Just thought I'd mention it.

Half full at the moment. Just packed the missus off to her language classes after which she's staying with her brother which leaves me to pop over to my brothers to cane through a stupid amount of lager and get started on the 4 ounces of weed we smuggled back from Holland past the divs of her Majesties customs last week. Ha ha! I might even kidnap a dog later.

Oh Jesus BBW, just when I might throw a parody of you on another thread, you get in before me. You blighter you.

Great use of the word 'divs'. It's uncanny that you knew I would've used it.

Seriously I would've.

Skol.

Definitely half full.... nah, better than that... it's almost full to the brim with darn fine wine.

I am blessed with very good people in my life and a sense that ultimately, whilst life is not without its troubles and niggles, I am a lot happier than I have been in the past.

And the future - though uncertain - I believe will ultimately be a happy one.

As Sweet Charity in one of my favourite musicals would put it: "And she lived hopefully ever after"

    • Good luck with this - it is getting harder than ever to do an infant observation, I did mine at a local nursery as I needed to observe a child from 9 months - 3years. Mine was weekly for 3 months, It is surprising what you can observe during that one hour. I continued to use my observational skills throughout my 21 year professional career, After I retired, I returned to University and trained as a Practice Educator and went on to have 5 students and encouraged them not just to listen but to observe their 'clients 'body languages/ environment/ relationships with others. I would urge parents/caregivers to participate - you will be surprised how much more you will understand about your child and their development,
    • Regardless of who 'owns' the bin- the organisation regularly comes to empty it and clear up the area. They were there today (Weds)

    • @Gingergossip In deed a bit of a joker, totally tongue in cheek, got me and others, well done (check their profile out).   But unfortunately there is a bit of Alf Garnett here, where Warren Mitchell in As Death as Do Part, would say the most outrageous and offensive things.  Effectively mocking and calling out some nasty right wing beliefs.  But sadly some with those beliefs thought he was being serious, As we can see on this thread.
