Driving home from work this evening, I tried to cut through Lewisham up to Hillyfields and through Brockley cross, you know where the 484 goes, what a mistake that was, I had to turn back and go through Depford. I couldnt get up the hill without traction control city. some guy cut me up and nearly caused a smash, you can imagine the expletives I ranted at him. Some people were driving like loons. I think I will avoid driving tomorrow, and try the bus instead.

Black ice everywhere, cars skating all over.

Horrible accident on Peckham Rye East.

Car wrapped around railings outside Ivydale School.

Pizza parlour was still sending pizza scooters out through blizzard. About 11pm, near to nil visibility, the only light is from the blue flashing emergency beacons. Pizza boy just phuts past ambulance, fire engine and police cars and the now open-topped car on Peckham Rye and nips around the police van blocking the junction at the bottom.

I hope you people are grateful for your pizzas. Very bizzare sight.

    • I've got to disagree with your numbers there - you're comparing apples and oranges. Support for the scheme has reduced from 53% prior to Starmer's announcement to 35% after it, opposition to it has increased from 19% to 49%, but 35% of the public still support it, not -14%. That is impossible + the lowest it could be is 0%. Net approval has decreased from +34% to -14%. The Guardian story seems like a hatchet job on Starmer's popularity and it makes you wonder what their agenda is, given the rumours around a leadership challenge. Starmer has clearly done a f*cking dreadful job on articulating any benefits of the system - if, indeed, there are any - but he's not helped by unverified social media stories about the involvement of Blair's son, stories which have been denied by all parties involved.
    • Credible enough that a National newspaper reported it and that he didn't see them.   Do you think he is a racist?  Or to be more diplomatic that some of his party's policies meet the criteria of being racist?
    • How credible can this report be given that the "former friend" failed to identify himself.
    • checked with a DC college and whilst they deny whistle blowing, apparently our Nige has an unpleasant past: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/nigel-farage-fascist-nazi-song-gas-them-all-ukip-brexit-schoolfriend-dulwich-college-a7185236.html It would be good to hear of fans of Mr Farige to say why he has been a victim.  I'm with Lammy
