but but but im trying to be more of an eco warrior! Jaws is not letting me at this stage to have a wormery but my plan is to just keep nagging and nagging until she relents.. If that fails I shall just order one and say you got it for me as a gift!! >:D

You can get a wormery for ?10 through the council... we got one a couple of years ago but it wasn't a success - the worms didn't seem able to cope with the quantity of kitchen waste we had, everything went mouldy, then the worms died :'(

Alas we have decided to stay in our flat rather than moving to a larger flat and I dont have the room for a wormery or chickens (possibly why Jaws is so keen to stay!!).. Once I grow up and get a real house I will get a wormery for sure..

I've composted with worms for years and it is fab. Just remember to put in loads of torn/shredded paper - if it starts to wiff then it's too wet - put in more paper and mix it up occasionally if you have a bin-type container. Oh and Ive always put citrus in.
