Do you know what I had a vague sense that you may have....that was Play off final day, i was distracted and emotional :)

It was only a matter of time...you've streamed/pre-ordered the album, pre-ordered the book, spoke to a man who know's a man who's half-sister's second cousin twice removed can get you tickets...now get the T-shirt

I'm in my mid/late 20s and first got into Bowie when I was about 15. I still regard Hunky Dory as one of my favourite albums and I also a fan of pretty much everything he has done - in particularly the Berlin albums.

I do worry about musical heritage and how we seem to have developed a canon of music (Beatles, stones, the who, Bowie) that is revered to such an extent that modern music is not considered worthy for inclusion. Maybe the death of the album and a truly great period for music set such a high standard, as well as music becoming more diverse and more choice available.

I was only about 10 when Definitley Maybe came out but I do not consider it to be a great album (sorry!). What albums of the last 10 years will stand the test of time?

Also, back to Bowie, I'm yet to liste to the new album and I am sure it is good but is it actually as good as the reviews are hyping it up to be? Does all his previous success cloud our judgement just a little?

Loved this doc, specially his honesty about beak usage. Mind you living in LA straight or bent out of shape is challenge enough for any huma being.

    • Hadn't realised that the Panorama programme that people are up in arms about was over a year ago.  There wasn't much fuss at the time so why drag it up.  Unless you hate Britain, hate liberals, hate the BBC, want a divided country, support the most powerful person in the world despite his many failings. The programme was clumsy, but the vast majority of us know that Trump had an influence.  So the Telegraph has played into his hands.
