Tiny Little Things That Cause You Irrational Rage

Well you could always do a Gillian McKeith and do a correspondence course to get one :))

Edited to say: I never finished mine either, and it was a bit of a wrench the day I chucked out the filing cabinet full of raw data :)) but I hope if I had submitted it I wouldn't be sticking PhD after my name at every opportunity .......

I'm just going on my inbox over the last decade. Every damn one of them is a US resident. And it's there on every damn email they send, hundreds and hundreds of times. [i've been on some professional email lists since the year dot.] Really irks me.

(The only other place I've seen it happen is India, where a few people do it.)

I don't like underlining myself. Looks too messy. For emphasis I use all CAPS. Easier and less hassle.

I also wondered about Sue's xxxxxxx. I always thought she was giving big kisses to someone before she disagreed with them.

If I had GOT my doctorate I would have stayed in academia. But do agree that in other areas of life it is pretty nauseating.

I did. And also that there is no proper name for the back of the knees. Now Vivien Stanshall WAS funny.

    • I spoke to one of the workmen last week and he said a couple more months...
    • This is a bit of a long shot but I’d like to speak to a doctor specialising in aortic disease. This is after my mum - who had a calcified abdominal aorta - died suddenly after being fobbed off by two GPs who said her severe backache was due to arthritis. This happened in France. I’d love some help to work out what the results of some of her past medical tests mean. It’s mainly numbers - and I can translate the little that’s written in French. Thank you!
    • Penge are also a serious cycling club but seems more laid back than Dulwich Paragon.  I was waiting for someone from Dulwich Paragon to post as I can be a little mean 😊 Velodrome is most excellent and and well as track cycling there is mountain biking and cyclocross.  PM me if you want an informal group who regularly go out into Surrey and Kent on mountain bikes.
    • Jason  re-plastered our spare bedroom recently and we’re really pleased with the results. His rate was very fair for the detail and attention he put into the job as well as not marking up the cost of materials.   Would highly recommend and we’ll be coming back to Jason when we next need some plaster work doing.
