What a bizarre and antiquated idea - that men should need a different sort of hairdresser or fear compromising their delicate masculinity. What next - the return of separate withdrawing rooms for men and women?

Why not go to a decent (unisex) hairdresser where they actually know how to style your hair to suit the shape of your face?

I expressed a similar sentiment when using the ladies changing rooms at the country club but alas I fear the world is just not ready for those as progressive as you and I James.

Anyone paying more than ?5.50 for a dry cut or ?11 for a wet cut 'n' style is only doing so to tell themselves they are better than the rest of us. All haircuts are exactly the same, you are only paying more for the sense of superiority. My uncle cut hair for years and he told me this so I know what I'm talking about.
You men are so lucky you get beer and don't expect to pay more than ?11 for a wet cut. Incrdible. I find going to the hairdressers hurrendous. Your hairdresser feels obliged to make small talk, you are plonked in front of a mirror so are forced to read womans own (my personal opinion, no disrespect to the magazine)or something equally unappealing and pay a fortune. I am very unprecious when it comes to my hair so quite often after a glass of wine reach for the scissor with mixed results but it grows eventually. I've tried those free training places before and once spent 2 hrs 45 mins having a trim and i left before it was properly finished because i was so bored and hungry. I'm jelous and now considering a sex change.

    • It didn't occur to me to ask. No idea if dieticians are employed within the NHS. It is just one line of enquiry among others. The GP mentioned it, not me.
    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
