Peckhamgatecrasher
Eliza.D are you out of your mind? "Billy don't be a hero" is so bad it's a classic. (And I know all the words!) Sherwick
I think the horrible Da Da Dee song may have been Gypsy Woman by Crystal Waters... Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6175-songs-you-absolutely-detest/page/6/#findComment-199084 Share on other sites

jaybee82
Nope, definitely Crystal Waters and definitely dreadful. 'Rockstar' by Nickelback springs to mind as a recent hateful song demonised further by the advertising Exec's at DFS for 'that' TV ad. As far as terrible cover versions go, 'We Will Rock You' by Five (5ive?!) is dire to the extreme. They might has well have put a copy of 'A Day At The Races' on the floor and all taken a steaming communal slash all over it. Jah Lush
Anything covered by boy bands is sludge. As for the recent cover by Girls Aloud of....feck! I've forgotten what it was but it was so bloody awful so awful in fact that I've managed to delete it from my memory banks and thank feck for that. LuLu Too
Deee-lite's Groove is in the heart. Dreadful, dreadful song. And years ago, in my student days, one Saturday morning, while watching The Chart Show, after too much the night before, this song or more precisely the video for it actually made me throw up.Still brings me out in a cold sweat. sophiesofa
Oh my goodness I always thought Groove in the heart was called Groovers in the hall. I also thought Take That's only takes a minute girl was Only takes a mini girl though so I obviously need to get my ears checked. There's that Blue (i think) song that goes on about a girl who he's dancing up close with makes it 'hard' for him - i love and hate that one.
