Dear All,

I wrote this letter to my councillor as I was bullied by 4 Black souhwark parking attendants in thir stupid Prius, THey have no heart so news about them being manhandled similarly in other London Boroughs from now on even before I can care less...

I wish to ask advise on the underhanded tactics exhibited by a Southwark Parking attendant

On Monday, 11th of May at approximately quarter to nine pm, I parked for a short period by a take away in Honor Oak Road to collect my food, upon departing my vehicle(which was then parked in a chevroned area of the road and was not even blocking the road in anuy way as I was tucked in at a point where there were temporary traffic lights) I noticed a Black warden and 4 of his colleagues in a Southwark Prius Toyota hovering about my vehicle, I immediately confronted him to move my vehicle a few seconds after he showed up, he then took a photo of me in my vehicle as I was pleading him that I am just there to collect my food, unfortunately my handbrake in my vehicle was stuck and therefore I was unable to fleet away as I was pleading on him that Im going, he continued to write me the ticket and continued to write it and were he an even minded person, would have let me go as I was on my way , unfortunately there was a fault in my vehicle, he then proceeded to manhandle my vehicle wipers to slap the ticket before he jumped in his Vehicle and screeched his tyres at myself and gave me and my wife a dirty gesture as he sped away with his colleagues, had I force d my vehicle to move I would have wrecked my gearbox at that stage and caused an accident.

So... you are complaining to your councillor because you could not get away quick enough after parking illegally.

The photo is for evidence that you were parked illegally.

Whats it got to do with them being 'black'?? Unless you think that 'white' southwark parking attendants would have let you off??

Isn't Honor Oak Road in the Borough of Lewisham?

It was with a chuckle I remembered flipbrit posting in another thread

And he isn't always the one commiting crimes, sometimes he gets upset at others parking incorrectly

of course, when you look at the language "bang bang bye bye", "in my [country]", and his opinion about OTHER lawbreakers the picture darkens a little

yeah that was in hindsight many thanks Hi LAdygoonerm

Sean, thanks for the comments, I guess parking for a few minutes in southwark one cant do,

I am against illegal parking in any way, but this is a valid claim any my Mp has responded to that effect in response to your, fanning thge flames post

I'm guessing flipbrit typed that on an iphone

Not that he appreciated my sarcasm either way - im not sure why it's a valid claim as he tried to move the vehicle (which is pretty much admitting it's in the wrong spot) but hey it's not just MPs who waste money, sometimes MP's have wasted time and money thrust upon them

If you genuinely believe the ticket was given incorrectly, then there is an official channel to appeal through.

But seriously, you shouldn't expect to get away with being illegally parked, even if it's just for a couple of minutes. Yes the traffic wardens are predatory, but they get paid on commission so it's basically in their job description.

Either way, I don't think you're going to get a great deal of sympathy from your post.

I would imagine flipbrit is merely providing the oft-called for "description" of the wrongdoer so that as the citizens of east dulwich go about our business we can be on the look out and take the appropriate action.

So... if you spot a black parking official... you know what to do.

You do know, right?

Thanks dave Im closing the thread now, I got some real weirdos ganging up now, never saw them in other posts,

thanks for the defense in that it was merely a description as black, Ill be more politically correct in saying maybe what colored? off-white?

Sherwick, brenda, snorky, thanks for being helpful, why dont you open your own threads and see if people respond? I have 60 people on my threads responding thus far other than this

Sounds like you're in the wrong here. You parked on the chevrons so you should have expected a ticket, may have been different if there was no clear sign/markings. It's always irritating getting a ticket but I think you're being a little unreasonable bringing their race into it.

And the Prius is actually a very good car.

I don't think it is Honor Oak Road but Honor Oak Park the OP means.

The point about 'black' is that why does it need to be said (or written) at all. Just say '4 southwark parking attendants' rather than '4 Black southwark parking attendants' as other may perceive that you are trying to make a specific point (about them being black)

Even it it was Honor Oak Park I am pretty sure it is not in Southwark
