Would anyone agree that it would be a great idea to have a couple of hours a day,(regulated),buggy free in lordship lane!Just imagine being able to walk freely along the pavement,go in to the shops without a buggy jam!Any buggy pusher flouting the 2 hour period would have thier buggy confiscated,(on the first offence),then, if they buy another one,a more severe punishment! What d'ya think?

Ha ha, brilliant. Ban the buggies! I think you're onto something. Inspirational stuff. Let's meet up, I think I love you. Can I bring my mum? No? Your mum? Fair enough.

Buggies. Ban them. Awesome. Two hours! Not enough.

9-11 People (idiots) with buggies

11-1 The retired, those requiring assistance, the halt and the lame

1-3 People in work clothes, muddy boots and no shirts

3-5 Lone females, key workers and pizza delivery boys

5-12 Stubbly men in Gap jeans, sunglasses and lager. And their molls.

I know how annoying it is being held up behind a sea of buggies but now find myself a mum too and therefore one of those annoying people on the paths :-$ We need our buggies to carry the heavy babes, vast changing bags and heavy shopping bags so spare a thought for us too! We're already self conscious of this and the hostility and general irritation from people (without little ones) around us isn't very pleasant during an already (usually) stressful day. I'm sure most mums would LOVE not to have to drag a buggy around. I propose a separate 'buggy lane'??? :))
And why is it that only people with buggies have no manners? All of them mind, not just one or two people, but all of them, whoever they are, wheverever they go, all time. Always. Everywhere. I've never ever met another person or category of persons who ever forgets their manners ever. Every other type of human being I have ever met on Lordship Lane has always been charm personified.

    • It's such an uneven provision, I live just west of E Dulwich towards Herne Hill/Dulwich Village and there are four Post Office counters within 10 mins walk max. They are all in local shops and provide a great service.
    • Wanted to come on and do a review for DRJ Builders as I know how hard it is to find good quality and reliable builders in the area! David O'Brien and DRJ Builders are more than that - they are an absolutely brilliant building firm who we can highly recommend. We used them to do a side return extension, loft extension and full house renovation in 2016. They did such a great job, we have just used them again to add on a new rear extension to the ground floor in 2025. David is great to work with from start to finish and has a fantastic team of tradespeople who always deliver a very high standard of work. Would highly recommend them. You can get David on 07960 938621.
    • They do have other lockers where you can drop off parcels, as well as some shops who will take them. If you use the Royal Mail app, or website, you can also arrange for collection of parcels from your house. The service is actually pretty good (and a lot easier than going to the post office). There are a lack of Royal Mail lockers though. Would be good to get some more - perhaps one on North Cross road? They don't need to be outside the Post Office necessarilly.
    • In a similar  vein, are there any charity shops actually taking donations at the moment? ( after the usual post  Christmas chucking out phase, noone would take my things last week, they had too much already).
