Dear Admin,

are you, like, the Fat Controller ? Ha Ha. Or Big Brother ? Or the Jade Emperor of the Seventh Heaven ?

Seriously :

a) When I went - finally - to respond to a thread I had started I was not shown the user-names of contributors. Are these deleted at a certain point ?

b) Why do the headers of certain but not all threads say 'Go to page yada-yada-whatever ?'

c) I notice my real name was left off my profile - by me, I guess. Is there any point adding it on. I want to use my nom de balloon for postings.

a) No. No messages are deleted unless they have been removed because they have broken the rules. Tell me which message you are talking about and I will look into it.

b) If there are more than 30 messages on a page then a new page is created, rather like pages in a book. So instead of having a really, really long page you flip between pages.

c) Adding your real name is up to you, there's no actual benefit such as getting a free ice cream but you decide if you want people to know your real name.

Bah - my 'new' threads have gone blue instead of red, and I'm all confused now.

A long time mystery, but I think they are red if you've not seen that thread since your last login, and blue if you have... It could also have something to do with using the Back button... Seems to work that way for me anyway.

if you click on the "more information" link it shows the same map but a different location. I don't think it's related to the forum, possibly a "centre of east dulwich" stab in the dark by Google?

I called it and it says that the extension's not being answered. I know how to change the number that appears (I set it but can't remember why I put that one, I think it was an old Skype number I had) so I'll make it something else.

Probably about six months ago. I think it may have been Mamoraman but I did a search with him as author. Can't remember the ads, though one may have been for beer (that could be wishful thinking). Don't waste too much time, not that important!

When looking at someone's user info does the "last activity" part also refer to non-posting activity i.e. just logging on and having a mooch about?

And also, if I add someone to my "Buddy list" aside from them being very lucky what benefits does it have?
