I got #176 bus all the way to Waterloo with no problems. Also got through Camberwell with no problems (was worried as there is another thread that mentions lots of delays and diversions on other routes near to Camberwell due to a fire).

delays on the Southern line from ED seem to be backing up - 9.16 was just cancelled and the 9.21 was held between ED and PR after leaving the station.

Trains from Denmark Hill are on a "special" timetable, lots of cancellations.

How's the weather in ED? It's been snowing steadly in the City and wanted to know if I should head back soon or risk walking home like last year!

It's been snowing steadily for a few hours in ED TarahC, but small flakes and it's not really settling.

Mr beagle has just travelled on the train from London Bridge to North Dulwich with no problems, but staff at London Bridge are saying the evening commute will be very disrupted if the forecast of heavy snow is correct.

TaraC - it might depend where you are in E Dulwich, the snow is definitely settling on my road, which is a hill. Mr Beagle now home with more news. The 12.19 London Bridge to Duliwch was cancelled due to the lack of a driver so he had to wait for a later train. Once underway, the train journey was normal.

Northern Line is running ok now after bad rush hour start.

Main roads look fairly clear, and he saw plenty of buses around.

General view seems to be come home before the heavy snow starts (if it starts as predicted) but at the moment travel is mostly ok on that route.

Am sat in my office (after a long but not awful journey in via Honor Oak Park this morning) wondering whether to leave early today. I think I might based on the terrible 2 1/2 hour journey home I had just before Christmas when we had that huge sleet shower and they shut London Bridge!

In Friern - having been sleet for the last few hours it has definitely become bigger and settling. I'm trying to get my husband to come home before all trains disrupted but he doesn't believe me that it's settling!!!! Keep all the proof coming cos I want to copy and paste the forum to him to back me up!!! - bliss having trust in our relationship - he he he

You City workers should start to think about coming home - its snowing quite heavily now in ED and the forecast isn't good for the rest of the afternoon.

Pebbles, Belle, I see a trend ocurring! I've been doing the same thing, especially because he has a chest infection and walking through the snow from Shoreditch can't be good- but he's having none of it. Damn him and his work ethic! I'd be outta there haha!

Have just walked up LL, DKH & denmark hill - buses still running both ways, but slowly...

It's still snowing and it doesn't look like stopping for a few hours http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/se/london_forecast_weather.html The snow is settling on side streets like Worlingham Avenue, I would say come home now (if you can) to avoid too much hassle later.
